August has arrived! I feel like I’m kind of out of touch being that time is flying by in a blur, and with all political crap going on, I’ve been staying on the down-low on social media and avoiding the news channels. I guess you could say that I’ve become a bit of a hermit when it comes to online and/or social media channels. That’s OK if I envision me as a hermit thusly:

Only in my mind. But isn’t that gorgeous? That’s actually a doll. As I was perusing on the down-low, I was reminded of the time before Princess Nagger was born that I was doing One Of A Kind (OOAK) dolls using Barbie and Alexander dolls. I’m jonesin’ to get back to that – especially when I have more ideas similar to this one I did back in the early 2000’s:

Martinique Martinique2 Martinique3

I used to do Custom Dolls regularly (and will do again when time and space permit) which were so much fun to do, especially when creating something unique like Martinique the Martini Fairy (yes, that is a giant-sized martini glass).

I’ll let you know when I get going on those again – I have so many ideas swirling around in my head. I’ve made about 200 custom creations, all were sold to appreciative people. I did keep one of them for myself, though, naturally it was a wine vineyard fairy.

I’ll have to see if I can either dig her up from the moving boxes (I know I saw the specific box somewhere recently), to take new pictures of her, or sift through my bajillion digital pictures to find the ones I already took. I’ll hopefully share those with you next week – but no promises! One of these days I need to make time to redo my website, since the old one isn’t compatible for all the new electronic devices, so it’s time for a complete redesign.ย

Moving on… Anyone who has a cat or plays with cats or is associated with cats will get a chuckle out of these:

We can’t leave out the dog lovers:

And anyone who has (or has endured) a teenage daughter, this will definitely give you a chuckle:

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

Link up your Random (or not) here:

Mister Linky's Magical Widgets — Easy-Linky widget will appear right here!

Keeping the random alive (barely) – feel free to snag a badge and play along – one for my wino friends:

  1. Love the kitty looking for the red dot. Speaking of school. Teachers report in two weeks. Summer goes by way too fast! The kids start Aug. 22, I think. Will you be homeschooling? Let me know if I can help in any way. I probably need to ignore social media and news channels, but I just can’t. I have to know things. But considering we have 98 more days of this, and I’m sure no one is going to change their mind at this point, maybe I should steer clear. I’m getting tired of it. Both sides are bad!

    1. That’s my favorite one, too. Ooooh! Only two weeks of summer left for you, eh? Definitely going by too fast. I’ve enrolled Princess Nagger in the Virtual Academy – I’ll be her dedicated ‘Learning Coach’, so it is a form of homeschooling but with the added benefit of a certified teacher holding some half-hour online classes during the week and doing the grading. We have online orientation tomorrow, so I’ll get a feel for how it will go – they’ll also be sending all the materials in the next couple of weeks (textbooks, worksheets, etc.) to use for the school year, and the parameters for the lesson plans I’ll have to do each week. She’s looking forward to being able to work at her own pace (which for her means working ahead since she gets stuff done very quickly, hence one of the reasons she was bored the last couple of years at school). ๐Ÿ™‚ I will definitely pick your brain when the time comes so I won’t be a fish out of water. Thank you for the offer! ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a great week – enjoy these last couple of weeks before school starts! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I love the dolls! They are stunning and so very cool and creative!

I relate to every one of your memes especially that last one๐Ÿ˜Š we got this – we will make it!

    1. Thank you, Kisma! I can’t wait to get back into creating more of those. I have so many ideas in my head! ๐Ÿ™‚

From your lips to God’s ears, my friend – we’ll get through this together! LOL! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you, Terra! I kinda wish I’d kept that one, but I’ll just have to make another. And a champagne one, since I have a giant champagne glass I can use. ๐Ÿ˜‰ That last meme definitely generates laughter – probably more so for those that have already survived the teenage years. At least I know there’s hope! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Love those dolls!! I need a gin and tonic version…. (gosh, am I officially old because I like gin and tonics now?!)
Our cat pays no mind to boxes. At. All.
    Our cat cannot cat. ๐Ÿ™

    1. Thank you, Leslie! Ooooh, a gin and tonic version…I’ll work on that for ya. Funny thing is the very first alcoholic drink I ever had (besides wine, of course) was a tanqueray and tonic – and that was just after I turned 21, so it doesn’t make either of us ‘old’…mwahahahaha! Your cat must think they’re a dog instead of a cat – we have one of those. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. I am the same about the political poo.
    I just stay away.
I’m already not sure about how to vote, so I’d rather not listen or read the nastiness.

Love the kitties ๐Ÿ™‚ Can’t wait to get ours again.

    Thanks for the chuckle.
