Since I’ve been sicker than a dog since early last week, I’m still functioning in Spacy Stacy mode this week as I’m not 100% yet. I suppose I should call my doctor if I don’t see any improvement soon, but I keep hoping it’ll just get bored and go away if I ignore it.

I’m not a fan of going to the doctor for myself – I’m happy to take the kids when they need it, but me? I’d rather not.

Since there will be no coffee next week (don’t panic my fellow coffee drinkers! There isn’t a coffee shortage, there will just be a coffee chat shortage as our fearless leader will be on a break).

The random will still happen, so while she’s gone, we can talk amongst ourselves. Randomly.

Meanwhile, let’s get right to this week’s fun coffee chat, shall we?

It’s time once again for Leslie’s (aka Rory Bore) Tuesday Coffee Chat!

This week’s prompt or question is:

Have you Ever? A series of questions to answer. Let’s see who gets the most.

1.   Got lost in an amusement park?

Not that I can remember. But I am a blonde, so there’s still a chance it will happen at some point.

2.   Shared a meal with your pet. Drive thru acceptable.

Absolutely! Those puppy dog eyes are hard to resist. They tend to really appreciate those hand-outs. I cannot say no!

There was even one time, when I was single with a 45-pound lap-dog-wanna-be (Elvis) and three cats (Mozart, Beethoven and Gizmo), that I was far far away and all by myself (aside from the pets) for Thanksgiving.

I cooked myself the full Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and mashed potatoes (all my favorite things) and fixed small plates of Thanksgiving dinner for each of the 4 animals lined up on the kitchen floor. They seemed to enjoy their dinner!

I mean c’mon – who can resist those puppy dog eyes, right?

3.   Scuba dived in the ocean.

Not yet – but it’s definitely something I want to do. I finally snorkeled for the first time on my first visit to Hawaii – hopefully I’ll get to visit my cousin who lives there again and join her for some scuba lessons and fun.

4.  Saved someone who was in danger.

Yes.

5.   Sang karaoke.  (before alcohol, 2 bonus points)

Oh yes. And yes, there was a time or two I got roped into singing prior to alcohol consumption. Thankfully this was pre-cell phone days, so no incriminating evidence that I know of.

6.   Seen a pyramid.  (1 point for each step climbed)

Not in person, no – but definitely another wish list item.

7.    Went camping in a tent.

Absolutely! When us kids got too big to sleep in the upper bunk of the custom trailer my dag had gotten for our annual camping trips, we were relegated to a giant green army tent we’d gotten from my grandpa. Us kids continued the camping trend into our adulthood years, though when living in PA hot and humid summers wasn’t conducive to introducing my hubby and kids to the fun of camping.

Last summer I finally replaced a lot of my donated-to-charity-prior-to-the-big-move camping equipment, and successfully got the hubby and kids hooked on camping. We’ll be enjoying more frequent camping trips this summer for sure.

OceanCamping2015Some day we’ll probably graduate to a trailer, but for now we kinda like the 3-room tent I picked out, and the hubby and I really appreciate the cots vs. air mattresses.

8.   Won a contest for a big prize.  (no, toys in Happy Meals don’t count)

Well, I’ve won contests for decent prizes, but nothing I personally would consider ‘big’. And no, I’m not talking about toys in a Happy Meal. Or Cracker Jacks.

9.   Eaten a strange food.   Broccoli is not a strange food.

Yes – when I’ve traveled to exotic locations in the past, I always chose to go exploring with people who had been there many times and knew all the best places off the beaten path. Because of that, I got to try local foods that were unique and strange – thankfully none of them made me sick, so that encouraged to me never discount strange food. Of course I’d always draw the line on crazy-strange.

10.   Pulled a prank you were later sorry about.

No, my pranks are always harmless. Honest.

11.  Went on an African Safari.

No I haven’t – but yet another thing I have on my wish list!

12.   Met a celebrity (TV, Movie, Music, Sports, Arts)

Yes – I had the fortunate experience of doing some local commercials and working gas an extra here in Seattle prior to moving to PA where I had the honor of meeting quite a number of celebrities. I’d love to get back into doing that again – might do that now that I’m back in the Seattle area again. It was so much fun!

13.  Been on TV or the radio.

Yes to both – see answer to #12.

14.   Been in a fight.

Haven’t we all? Unless you mean fisticuffs, in that case no. I’m a lover not a fighter!

15.   Fallen asleep while talking on the phone.

Absolutely! Back in the days of dating long distance where neither of you wanted to say goodbye or goodnight, and you doze off. Good times.

How about you? Have you ever done any of those on the list?

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. I would love to go on a safari! I was telling my husband that about two days ago. Sorry you’ve also been sick, but I hope you’re feeling better now.

  2. I am so so so glad my karaoke days were pre cell phone and social media!! I don’t know that I would get up there now with the likelihood of it going “Viral!”
Love that tent! It looks like it has the D doors that swing close?? We were looking for those.
I would not be able to resist those puppy eyes. The cat gives me the stink eye – it’s not even cute for goodness sakes – and I still sneak treats to him. Ingrate that he is. 🙂

  3. I love your answers! The turkey day dinner is something my hubby and still to this day with out critters.

I do hope you are feeling better!
