I’m starting to feel human again, much to my relief. I have a lot of catching up to do, but it’ll get done. So much to do, so little time!
Which is one of the reasons why I hate this time of year – not for the spring-like weather we’ve already started to have, but those that are they taking away that hour for “Daylight Saving”. I wish they’d pick one or the other and not make us switch back and forth each spring and fall!
The last thing I need is to have time taken away from me. Sure, I appreciate getting that hour back in the fall, but a number of years ago they changed the ‘spring ahead’ and ‘fall back’ dates to extend the supposed ‘saving’ by robbing us of that hour for extra weeks.
Not cool. Hopefully the petitions that are going around to do away with it altogether actually happen. Some people love changing the clocks this time of year because, according to them, it stays light later.
Seriously, we don’t have to change the clocks to make it stay light later – the days get longer all on their own and personally I’d rather it not be bright and sunny at 10pm like it tends to be during the summer months here in the Pacific Northwest. I hear the snickers – you’re thinking I’m touched in the head with the notion that it’s sunny here in the summertime.
I’ll let you keep thinking I’m touched in the head.
Speaking of touched in the head… Did you hear about the woman who got arrested for driving around New York with a fake NY license plate on her car? Check this artwork out:
It’s a piece of cardboard painted like a license plate! Crazy, no? Gotta give her props for originality. Or something. Though it does make one wonder if the iconic NY state image in the middle is supposed to be the state, or if it’s a martini glass.
I’m thinking she had one too many martinis as it was.
She was apparently driving with a suspended license, too – guess she hadn’t gotten around to painting a drivers license on cardboard yet, eh?
Speaking of cardboard… This is funny and needs no explanation:
Moving on… So yesterday was Pi Day – did you eat pie? Or more specifically, did you eat a rounded pie?
I was going to bake a pie, but I ended up making cookies and brownies instead. I’m pretty sure the family didn’t care what the sweets were, just that there were sugary goodness.
At least they didn’t go all Sparta on each other like these birds (whose picture has been floating around for a couple of years in meme land) but what an amazing capture:
And it’s that time of year where the spring birds will be paying our bird feeders their annual visit while the year ’round birds become more territorial. They’re sure fun to watch, though!
That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

I really do like the extra light. You must too be on the FAR side of your time zone. 🙂
Oh my gosh! Those birds!
My NYS license plate doesn’t look quite so martini-like, but then again, I didn’t draw it!
lol, those birds are awesome and I am with you in regard to time!
Glad you are feeling better!
thanks for share . it’z so nice
I’m glad you are feeling better.
And that woman is illegally creative. Haha.
I’m totally loving those kitties.
And pie? Naw, I ate cake.
Every now and then they talk about doing away with daylight savings time, but I’m told now it has to do with kids waiting at bus stops in the dark in the fall? Apparently in the summertime, when it stays light ’til 8pm or so, it creates a “dark too late” in the mornings in the fall.
