Last Tuesday of February! Next month is March-ing around the corner. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Well, I could  but chose not  to. Heh.

Spring

That also means that spring is lurking right around the corner, and with spring comes Parent/Teacher conferences and spring break. Which in the whole scheme of things is an indicator that this school year is flying by.

Unless you ask Princess Nagger, though – she still refers to school as “that place” and “prison” so you know she’s probably not just counting down the days to spring break, but minutes.

She’d probably count down the days by seconds, but that would take too much work. Even for the math wizard she is.

Luckily since Princess Nagger is in 7th Grade, we won’t need to meet with the teachers about her progress, she’s doing perfectly fine in all her Honors classes. She’s not one I’d ever have to worry about.

Little Dude, on the other hand, is still behind on lots of his learning, but soon we have another evaluation with a child psychiatrist to either confirm or rule out Autism in order to move ahead with an actual plan.

It’s been a long road, that’s for sure – I’m looking forward to when things will potentially ‘level out’, as it were, so patience isn’t worn thin on a daily basis.

Now for some funny stuff… So one of my Facebook friends posted this Walmart sign correcting the price from an ad. You let me know what you think:

WalmartCorrection

So…correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that the same thing? Same prices? Can’t fix stupid.

Switching over to genius… A dad created an awesome busy board for his kid:

BusyKid

I’m almost tempted to make one for Little Dude, even though he’s 8. Or maybe I should come up with a different or ‘older’ version. Might help him with some stuff!

Speaking of cool… Check out your Dragon Name:

DragonName

I’m Magic Blade The Magnificent. Nice to meet you.

I hate hate hate spiders, but this is pretty funny:

WizardSpider

Still doesn’t change my mind on my hate of spiders, though. Wizard or not.

And finally…

MockingBirdCat

It’s time once again for Leslie’s (aka Rory Bore) Tuesday Coffee Chat!

This week’s prompt or question is:

“Give it Up? We are in the Season of Lent: do you give anything up? Do you observe Lent?”

I grew up in a Non-Denominational Christian household, so Lent wasn’t part of the… what would that be called? Teaching? You know what I mean. Something I didn’t learn as part of our church, so it’s not something I do or follow. But good luck to those that give stuff up during this time!

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

  1. That Wal-Mart sign…..Oh my, oh my!
I’m looking forward to Spring Break to spend some quality time with my kids.
I don’t do Lent either. It’s not a part of my religious practice.
My Dragon Name is Burning Blade the Voracious. Eh.
    Happy RTT!

  2. Burning Wing The Elder! Kinda cool.

Wal -Mart always makes me laugh, that is just awesome. I agree, you cannot fix stupid.

My daughter is on the countdown as well but my son has it down to weeks because he’s a senior and is so.ready.to.graduate. GAH!

    Have a great day Stacy!

  3. LOVE that board!! What an awesome idea. I think I should make one for mine today, since it’s a snow day.
“You’re a wizard Charlotte!!” LOL The best.
Even though I did grow up in the church, we never really practiced Lent either. My mom is just too good a cook and baker for anyone to give up treats!
