Christmas is going to be here before you know it! Are you ready? I’m not. I’m still scrambling like a crazy person. I did, however, finally get the inside of the house decorated and the tree up – better late than never, right? If Mother Nature would cooperate and stop the rain, I might get the outside decorated before Christmas. *fingers crossed*
Monday is the perfect day for music – and this month, we’re doing a Christmas theme all month long! Grab your favorite holiday tune and come dance in a festive way with us, won’t you? Let’s start off with a great Christmas medley that happened to be on the 2015 CMA Country Christmas.
It was the opening number, with one of my favorite artists along with an awesome a capella group and some high kicking dancers. My favorite artist was impressive, singing live and managed to pull off some pretty cardio-rrific dance moves while not missing a note. Plus, the a capella group was right on point, and they got to show off their skills with a breakdown section where the band dropped out.
Enjoy the wonder of Jennifer Nettles and Pentatonix with “Man With The Bag and Jingle Bell Rock”:
Next up is another favorite artist who takes on a Christmas song that was popularized by Chuck Berry in 1958, and covered by many many artists since then. I think this artist did an exceptional job.
Give a listen to the multi-talented Kelly Clarkson with “Run Run Rudolph”:
Next up is a star from Girl Meets World who released this original new holiday tune with a cheery performance. Good luck getting it out of your head after one listen.
Give a listen to the cutie patootie Sabrina Carpenter with “Christmas the Whole Year Round”:
Next up is an artist who has an extra special gift for her fans this festive season as she just launched her own Christmas album. It had long been a dream of hers to record her own compilation of Christmas songs, so she did – and she did an great job.
Give a listen to the gorgeous Kylie Minogue with “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year”:
That’s a wrap for this week – have a great Monday!
Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me: I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and our musical cohorts, Callie from JAmericanSpice, and Naila Moon from Just the Stuff Ya Know.

Your Christmas music gave me a smile. Wonderful!
Lovely choices I lurrrve Kelly Clarkson, Kylie was on Strictly Come Dancing here Saturday singing It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year I quite like her version.
Have a festivetastic week Stacy 🙂
I’m not even close to ready for Christmas. I haven’t bought a single thing! Good songs, some new ones for me. I can’t get enough of Pentatonix, they are just so awesome! Have a fabulous week!
Great songs. Love all of them. Puts me in the spirit of things.
Very nice selections. The Jennifer Nettles/Pentatonix number was more Broadway than Nashville, a little unusual for the CMA Christmas, but it was very well-done and Jennifer is a great dancer. Kelly Clarkson could do “99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall” and make it sound fantastic. And what more can be said for Kylie Minogue?
The one I really liked, though, even though it made me feel like a dirty old man for enjoying it so much, was Sabrina Carpenter’s contribution. She has a fantastic voice, and unless I did my math wrong she’s just 16? She can only get better, and I hope to hear more from her.
Merry Christmas, Stacy! Other than Run Rudoloph Run all of these Christmas tunes are new-to-me. You put the jing-jing-jingle in my move. 😀 Do you have a thing for blonde female artists? lol I noticed all of these chicks have blonde hair. Okay, some aren’t really, but you know what I mean. I just thought this was sorta interesting and had to play with you a bit. Thanks for the introduction of some new, contemporary Christmas music! I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas and healthy, happy, prosperous New Year! 😉
