The long weekend is coming to a close – at the time of this typing, we’re getting ready to head out to go camping this weekend. I’m being proactive and scheduling this post, because when we drag ourselves home from a weekend of tent camping and marshmallow roasting, I’m going to be too brain and body tired to functionally put two words together.

Let alone an entire post.

Though I’ll add a pic if we get home in time to do so before the publishing time.

We had a great time in spite of Mother Nature raining on our parade. Literally. More on that tomorrow, I promise.

Meanwhile, since we are/were off roughing it and I don’t have time to sufficiently throw cohesive randomness on the page, we’re going to fast forward to this week’s Coffee Chat.

I didn’t used to have a ‘go to’ Summer Song, until the Princess Nagger and I heard this tune and fell in love (and always crank the volume and sing along). So now this one is the ‘go-to’ of our summertime favorites.

  3. We have not really seriously thought about going camping here. It’s been far to wet and cold. I admire you for going out despite what Mother Nature threw at you!

  4. Bonfires = best way to end a day!! especially if you have been rained out.
    our camping trips always have at least one day that downpours — if not the entire week. (true story)
    but there’s nothing like a warm fire at the end of the day…and of course s’mores.

    Pontoon!!! Yes!! one of my new summer favourites too. It just screams “summer fun!”
    Ha – I love that he wrote another party song. he could have subtitled it “I do what I want!!” LOL

  5. A long weekend spent camping sounds like a lovely family outing. I can’t believe summer is almost here. Not that I’m complaining yet, but it just seems like yesterday I was wearing layers to keep warm and now I’m shedding the clothes to stay cool. lol Crazy, isn’t it? Have a good week!
