I know many of you are not football fans, but I gotta give kudos to the Seahawks for a nail-biting amazing game on Sunday. When we got to the fourth quarter, I thought for sure we were done. As in done done. Not going to get to do a repeat and play in the Super Bowl again this year.
Boy was I wrong.
So very wrong.
Going into halftime with a deficit of 16 points didn’t boost any confidence in the final outcome of the game, and as we crept towards the final minutes in the fourth quarter, I wonder how many people at the game had already made their way to their cars figuring the Packers were the ones going to the Super Bowl.
It’s always astounding when literally the last few minutes of the game determine the final outcome. Total edge-of-your-seat as you watch every move made, and acknowledge that the opposing team were definitely playing a great game and fighting their hardest to win.
To have a playoff game finish out in overtime is nerve wracking. But the celebration that transpired after the final touchdown was insane – We. WON. Super Bowl bound again – so exhilarating.
This was one of my favorite meme images that floated around Facebook afterwards:
And the fans were, as they’re wont to be, extra crazy loud – so much so, the seismic meter was going insane:
While I’ve always been a Packer’s fan because my best friend is one, my blood does run blue and green. Now who’s having a Super Bowl party we can come invade? I’ll bring wine.
Not a lot of random this week because I’m still in Seahawk’s victory mode and don’t want to babble on too much, especially since I’m hopping on the bandwagon again this week with Rory Bore’s Tuesday Chat – I had so much fun checking out the other chatter’s posts last week, and look forward to more fun this week, too!
This week’s prompt or question is:
If you could learn any one skill in the world without trying (like Matrix learning style), which would you pick?
That was a tough one, because I have the ability to pretty much do anything I set my mind to – or can figure out how to do something I don’t know how to do.
That being said, however, I think it would be awesome to learn how to do Kung Fu – just have it downloaded in your brain and you’re good to go with some cool moves like this:
The other thing I’ve always wanted to learn, but haven’t made an effort to do so yet, is speak French. I think it’s such a sexy language, I’d love to spout off nonsense sexily!
Besides, Princess Nagger has promised that when she becomes rich and famous, she’ll take me to Paris, France someday.
I’d best get busy learning. Too bad there aren’t any Matrix electrodes to plug into my brain to just make it happen.
That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. And that means even if you don’t have a specific Random Tuesday Thoughts Rebel post posted, you can still link up, I’m not picky. You don’t even have to add the badge, just link up so I can come harass you on your blog. I promise to play nice.

I’ve also decided to adopt Xmas Dolly’s idea of adding an additional linky just to encourage more followers where you need it most. We can all use more followers, right? So feel free to link up any post on the first linky, and a follower linky on the second one. Let’s see if we can party like rock stars! Link up where you need to gain more followers here:

I’m not a football fan but I admire the passion of the fans for their teams. I do, however, watch the Super Bowl every year.

Congrats on the victory in Sunday’s play-off game! The Seahawks totally shocked me with their come back at the end. I was certain the Packers were going to the Super Bowl. Thanks for hosting the random!

Yes it was a great game. I don’t normally watch but our son was over. I do however enjoy watching the Super Bowl each year. Love the image you found. I would love to speak French too. I am lucky enough to have a bowler on my team who is French and I get to listen to her accent each week.

I am definitely a sports fan, but still learning about American Football — because it is a different game than our Canadian version. I just love the enthusiasm and the rivalries and there’s nothing like watching an amazing game unfold before your eyes.
Sorry though — since I am closer to New England, I’ll be joining PatriotsNation 🙂
Oui, je parles Francais. Je pense que ce est bien que vous voulez apprendre la langue de l’amour.
Ha! that’s your first French lesson and homework. Bonne Chance!
