Winter has arrived all over – while it’s cold here, the sun has been shining, unlike some of my friends out East who ended up getting their first taste of snow over the weekend.

Princess Nagger wants to know if you can send the snow our way – you know, if you really don’t want it and all.

This week’s theme was chosen by our last Spotlight Dancer, Joyce from Catch My Words, whoΒ has challenged us to a Brevity Challenge.

  1. Write ONE sentence or less on your post (sorry, can’t do an entire post with just oneΒ sentence, but the description of the song chosen is oneΒ sentence vs. a few paragraphs).
  2. Post ONE song that is under three minutes (close…went 36 seconds over, but it’s totally worth it).
  3. Visit and post a SHORT comment on EVERY blog that follows the rules (see ya at your place!).

The idea is to give people time to visit ALL blogs in the hop.Usually I’m wordy and all, but I’m game! Just disregard the whole beginning of this post, since I had to let you know what was going on, right?

So, let’s begin……now!

My choice for this week is Sam Hunt, an artist who is making waves on the music scene with his unique style of country music influenced by R&B soul.

This new tune will hit country airwaves one week from today – here’s Sam Hunt with “Take Your Time”:

That’s a wrap for this week! Enjoy your Monday!

I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and our musical cohorts,Β Callie from JAmericanSpice, Cathy from Cathy Kennedy’s Blog, and Becca of Everyday Life.

Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

  1. A new-to-me tune. Nice guitar playing. I enjoyed the vocals/lyrics when he wasn’t talking them out, as that reminds me too much of RAP. Tell PN we are supposed to get snow this afternoon, but I’m not sure if we’ll get enough to send to her, though. This is the coldest November I remember in quite some time. So much for global warming!

    1. Glad you enjoyed parts of it, Cathy! πŸ˜‰ While it does seem rap-ish, at least it’s not as annoying as rap… πŸ˜‰ It is colder than usual, isn’t it? Even out here in the Pacific Northwest! It’s been sunny, though, so no hope of snow for PN here, much to her disappointment. I see no global warming complaints yet this year! LOL! πŸ™‚

    1. Truer words were never spoken, Naila! πŸ˜‰ It’s hard enough to try to keep the regular posts down to a minimum…but one sentence? Impossible, I tellya! πŸ˜‰ Glad you liked the song – and I’ll let Princess Nagger know she can have all the snow she wants, as long as she comes to scoop it up! πŸ˜€

    1. He is pretty new – and I was psyched when I found a song that hasn’t played on commercial radio yet…I think I did year it on XM Satellite radio, though – can’t wait to hear more from him! πŸ™‚ I know, right? ONE sentence? Impossible!! LOL!! Thanks so much for stopping by, and for being the best conductor in the world! πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you, Joyce! And hopefully it wasn’t too annoying for you, being that even though he’s country, he does his music a tad bit different (much to the chagrin of die-hard country fans…they keep bitching about how country music isn’t country anymore… πŸ˜‰ ) Thanks so much for stopping by! πŸ™‚
