It’s August, which means it’s time for Audio Fest! Best Buy wants you to “LOVE HOW YOU LiSTEN”.

What I love about Best Buy is you can visit your local store to test out the latest and greatest products for yourself – there’s something to be said about taking things for a test run before you buy it to make sure it’s right for you.

Plus everyone I’ve ever dealt with at Best Buy has been extremely nice, helpful and very knowledgeable. Makes the shopping experience much more fun! They have no problem answering any questions, and if they don’t know the answer, they find the answer for you.

From now until August 30th, Best Buy has put together special deals on audio equipment to update your listening experience at home and when you’re on the go.

We’re talking great deals on headphones, wireless speakers, home theater systems, car audio and so much more! JBL happens to be one of the brands featured along with others. Check these out:

The JBL Reflect Sport Headphones are exactly what I needed – I’m finally getting back into the habit of working out every day, and I have always had trouble finding the ‘right’ kind of headphones for me that usually turn out to be uncomfortable, or keep falling out of my ears.

There’s nothing worse than being in the middle of a workout and having the music suddenly disappear from your ears. It’s hard to keep the momentum going!

These headphones have taken all that into account – they have been designed specifically with movers and shakers in mind. And you know, the sweaty ones, too. They’re actually sweat proof! Score!

They direct sound into your ear for deep bass and extended frequency response – I don’t know about you, but I tend to workout better (or at least more energetically) when I’ve got music that sounds phenomenal in my ears. They come in three different sizes that are ergonomically shaped so they stay securely in the ear during those high energy workouts.

No more stopping in the middle to shove them back in or adjust them so you can keep going with your workout without annoying interruptions – or excuses to not keep pushing yourself to finish all the sets. No more excuses!

They also block out ambient noise, so you’re not distracted by the crazy kids making lots of noise upstairs, or the barking dogs. Well, OK, you can still hear them, but it’s not as annoying. Ahem.

For you avid runners, the cord is not only sweat-proof, but it’s made of reflective material to help you remain visible at night. It also has a magnetic cable management system that keeps the headphones neat and tidy during storage and transport so you won’t have to worry about a rats nest of tangles.

Since they’re made by JBL, the sound is of course crisp and clear. I love that there’s no annoying crackling noise while I’m moving, since that tends to be a distraction as well. Sort of like spying a shiny object.

Along with the cool comfy headphones, they also have the JBL Clip Portable Bluetooth Speaker – you can take your sound with you! I love how compact it is, and as the name implies, the Clip is meant to be mated to your backpack, bike, pants – pretty much any clip-able locale – with an integrated carabiner, so it can throw down a soundtrack for your travels.

Hopefully you’ll be going a few places this summer where having a bit of music (or, you know, audio books, if that’s your thing) might make a pleasant addition to your journey. Where you go, your music goes conveniently.

The JBL Clip is the  ultra-light, ultra-rugged, and ultra-powerful portable speaker. Available in a variety of colors (I’m going to have to get a red one – Princess Nagger has claimed my blue one!) this small but mighty speaker gives you 5 hours of battery power so you can take the music with you wherever you go.

You can also plug it in easily to any portable device using its 3.5 mm integrated audio cable if you like a wired connection, but it has Bluetooth functionality so you can stream your music or talk to your friends using its hands-free speaker phone function with literally no strings attached!

Don’t let the size of this little speaker fool you – it’s big on sound and quality. Something I expect from JBL, and they’ve met those expectations completely.

So what are you waiting for? Don’t miss out on Audio Fest! Don’t forget, you can connect with Best Buy on Twitter – be sure to use the hashtag #AudioFest.

What’s on your wishlist to check out at the Best Buy August Audio Fest?

  1. Thanks for the review of JBL reflect. The Jabra clipper also falls on the same category with JBL reflect which you can clip to your outfit or backpack etc
