Things are still totally crazy around here – but luckily we were able to take a break from the crazy to enjoy a different kind of crazy since my brother had his annual 4th of July party over the weekend. We were able to party like non-rock stars and enjoy the view of Puget Sound:
I remembered to bring my big camera, but forgot to bring my tripod – though trying not to breathe did create some cool effects whilst taking pictures of the fireworks over the Sound.
Just before the official barge started with the main fireworks, a few residents down the hill were setting off their own fireworks:
Then the main event from the barge took place, synchronized with music on the radio (sorry about my breathing):

You got some really great shots without your tripod! We had fun hanging out with friends and shooting some $30 fireworks… you know, the ones that don’t leave the ground! Ha!

The hubby and I didn’t get a chance to go see any fireworks. We let our daughter and her hubby go out and have the fun together. We took care of the baby. She gave us plenty of action.
