Christmas Comin’ Round Again by the Ringing Of The Bells while Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree with Nuttin’ For Christmas but a Box Of Rocks!

Only 16 days until Christmas, people!  16 days.  Are you ready?  I’m not.  But I’ll get there.

It’s just a tad bit more of a juggling act this year since I have all the Christmas presents stashed in our storage unit to save on space here in the basement, and will need to do some fetching to do the wrapping when both kids are in school – and maybe I’ll figure out if I still need to pick up any last minute gifts, too.  Which I suppose I’d better take care of soon, eh?

Since it’s December, we’re celebrating all month long with a continuous Holiday Theme, so grab your favorite videos and come play along.

Let’s start off with another of my favorite American Idol winners – in this music video, shots of him in the recording studio are cut with photos and videos of his younger self celebrating Christmas with his family and starring in the church nativity play.  So cute.

Here’s Scotty McCreery with “Christmas Comin’ Round Again”:

Next is a video that cracks me up every time I watch it.  Who doesn’t love the Muppets?

Here they are with “Ringing Of The Bells”:

Next up are three of my favorite artists together celebrating the Christmas season on the show that made country music famous, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee:

Give a listen to Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride and Julianne Hough with “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”:

Next up is a fun song I usually sing to Princess Nagger if she’s acting up and precariously close to being on the Naughty List.  This fun version is sung by one of my favorite bands, I bet you’ll love it, too.

Sugarland

Here’s Sugarland with “Nuttin’ For Christmas”:

Finally is a song that’s becoming a tradition each year to dedicate to my brother for his birthday.  Today happens to be my birthday, and his birthday is Thursday, so it’s the perfect time to play this song.  Happy (early) Birthday, Mikey – here’s a “Box Of Rocks” (by The Song Trust):

Enjoy your Monday!

  1. First thing, let me say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you and your brother! I could’ve sang that song Box of Rocks to Santa about my own brother. The part that says he blew off Barbie’s head made me think of how my brother mummified my Barbie in black electrical tape. You know how sticky that stuff is & it won’t come off. If that wasn’t bad enough, he then tossed her up into the air and allowed her to crash to the ground. Since I never could get the tape off, I don’t know how bad my Barbie’s injuries were. I was so mad at him for doing that. I’m pretty sure he got rocks that year from Santa, though. lol All great picks. I love dancing with you on Monday’s Music Moves Me, Stacy!
