While we were waiting for the bus one day last week, I noticed a spot in the front yard that would be a perfect fall-ish spot to take pictures. I was wishing I’d grabbed my camera, but luckily I did have the cell phone with me that at least takes halfway decent pictures.
It didn’t take much to convince Little Dude to go stand in the leaves while I snapped some shots. Though the instructions of just play and feel free to throw some leaves in the air didn’t quite connect:
Me: “Don’t just stand there – go ahead and play! Feel free to run around and play with the leaves!” Which was met with:
Little Dude’s bus arrived, so after depositing him up the steps of the bus it was Princess Nagger’s turn – when I mentioned tossing leaves around, her response was “Uh yeah, I don’t think so.”
Granted they were a slightly soggy from the rain overnight, so I could understand the resistance to picking up leaves and tossing them around.
Princess Nagger’s bus arrived at that moment, so that brought an end to our impromptu photo session. Maybe next year I’ll convince them to play with the leaves or at least toss them in the air for fun – and I’ll bring my big camera along for the ride.

They still look cute in the leaves, even if playing in them wasn’t their thing. 🙂

I miss you. I need to start blog hopping again. I’ve been trying to work out a schedule for blogging and working out between house cleaning and I haven’t been able to enjoy the computer as much as I want to. I can’t believe how big the kiddos are getting! I love that I get to watch them grow up!
