You know what today is, don’t you?  11-12-13.  I’ve been waiting all year for today so I can write 11-12-13 on stuff.  I know, I’m weird like that.  But it makes the day more fun, right?  Right?!

Princess Nagger performed in her school’s Veterans Day Concert last Thursday – she sang and even played the xylophone:

PrincessNaggerXylophone

She did a great job – didn’t miss a note!  The hubby bought her her own xylophone before the concert because she thinks it’s a cool instrument and it allowed her to practice at will.  We’ll see if she keeps playing on it now that the concert is done.  I’ll share more pictures of the concert tomorrow.  You’ll just have to come back.  I know, I’m such a tease.

In other news…. What’s up with Renee Zellweger?  The debate is on whether or not she had plastic surgery because of how she looked when she was recently out and about:

BridgetJones“Before” on the left, which makes the right image the obvious “After”.  She says it’s because she lost weight, but I’m thinking either botox or eye lift or something else, because it’s not like she had any weight to lose in the ‘before’ shot.  Plus I’ve seen pictures of her looking too skinny, and her face never changed.

I think she’s pretty either way – many commenters on the article I read were saying that now she looks like every other blonde Hollywood babe vs. her unique self.  What say you?

Speaking of funny faces… Little Dude announced it was ‘reading time’ the other day, then also mentioned he needed to get his glasses for reading.  Since he a) can’t read (yet) and b) doesn’t own glasses (yet), I wondered what he was talking about.

He pulled out the truck book he checked out from the school library to flip through the pages, and also pulled out the ‘glasses’ I gave him and his classmates in the goody bags I sent to the school for his birthday celebration in lieu of cupcakes and sugar:

HI-Larious.  So far he hasn’t quite grasped the concept of paying attention to the words on a page – he’s way more enamored by the pictures and has no interest in the words I’m pointing out to him as we read together.  The pictures are way more interesting than random letters, right?

Friday is Princess Nagger’s birthday – hard to fathom that it’ll be 11 years since this happened:

Time flies by way too fast.  She was born on a Friday, so she’s excited that her birthday lands on a Friday this year.  Since we’re still basement dwellers at my parents house until our house sells in PA, I asked her where she’d like to have her party this year – thankfully she didn’t ask to have it at Chuck E. Cheese, instead she wants to go to Build-A-Bear, so that’s  happening with 12 kids and a gaggle of adults.

We’ll be having an ‘after party’ at a food establishment for refreshments and present opening since those are not allowed at BAB for obvious reasons.  Wish me luck – and of course I’ll fill you in on the details next week!

That’s a wrap for this week – you know the drill, link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome – random or not. Be sure to visit your fellow randomizers so they don’t feel so lonely.

  1. It did not occur to me that today’s date is anything special, until I read your post. Now, I’m like…”How cool is that?” Geez,my brain has been left on the spin cycle too long!”

Renee Zellweger actually looks better in the “before” shot, if you ask me. I know as we age our faces do become thinner because of the lose of collagen, but nothing surprises me with celebrity go-overs. Image is so important in Hollywood and they have the money to do it; whereas the rest of us HAVE to accept who we are as we grown older.

Little Dude is silly and funny looking in those goofy glasses, but then he’s a little kid and that’s good for him to be just like that. It puts big grin on your face and all of us.

Princess Naggar is growing up quickly. Unfortunately, all parents must suffer through the growing flight of their children with a certain remorse laced with happiness. I hope she has an extraordinary time with her friends at BAB. Sounds like lots of fun. I wonder, if I can come, too. 🙂

Thanks for hosting the random fun!

  3. It definitely looks like she had some kind of eye something or other. Then again, maybe she just naturally squints and started trying not to. Who knows? Happy early birthday to PN!

  4. Turbo played the drums at his concert last year. We anticipate band concert at some point this year. Go Baritone.
Hope PN enjoys the xylophone! it always seemed like a fun instrument.

  5. After I laughed (and laughed and laughed) at Little Dude’s “reading glasses,” I began to twitch at the thought of what it will cost to have a party for 12 kids at Build-A-Bear.

You are a wonderfully indulgent Mama.

  6. How neat! I just got an invitation to a friend’s son’s birthday party at Build-A-Bear at the end of the month, I think it’s such a cute idea for a birthday party! 🙂

I hadn’t seen the pics of Renee, but I think she’s gorgeous regardless. I love her, she’s one of my favourites!!

  7. I honestly didn’t catch the date until a few people on Facebook shared it as their status update. I can be completely obvious sometimes.

Allana’s birthday was on a Friday this year too! A BAB party sounds perfect. Can I come? 😉

  9. You’re kiddos are so cute! Who doesn’t love a funny face? My son is a drummer in band. I hear the bell kit often. lol

Renee – yes there must be a lot of pressure not to get old and wrinkled. I’m with you, she didn’t lose weight but hey, if she wants to have something done go for it.

Me – No I’m way too chicken for that.
