This is my all-time favorite time of year. With crisp clear air, the trees and foliage starting to turn into a gloriously painted landscape, what’s not to love?
Some trees tend to have that resistance factor, hanging on to their green sections as long as possible, while their outer sections start turning vibrant colors:
Some trees embrace this time of year and show off their vibrant colors:
Even foggy days have their appreciative factor:
Especially when it makes a regular old pumpkin patch just a little more ethereal:
What’s your favorite time of year?

Hey looky! This post can actually do double-duty so I can participate with the lovely Gretchen, from Second Blooming in this week’s Spin Cycle! This week on the Spin Cycle is “Autumn” – so there ya go. Be sure to stop by and see who’s jumping in the leaves, and who’s hiding until spring.

My favorite time of year is the fall. It feels so nice after a long hot summer. Trouble with fall in the desert is that sometimes it lasts only two weeks. This year it seems to be lingering on.
Your fall weather looks lovely. We don’t get to see any color change here, either. The leaves on our cottonwoods just crisp up and fall off without any showy display.
Wow! That is a truckload of pumpkins! I also love the light in that one. Keep up the good work.
We must be psychic! I was going to come and see if you were back today. We’ve been missing each other with your move and our holiday. Hope the move went well! Lovely photos! I love Autumn too! x
The pumpkin patch is a cool shot! 🙂 Danica
That fog is pretty cool looking, and that blue sky is gorgeous.
Love the third photo! The blue sky is amazing.
Oh! I absolutely LOVE fall too!! But I do hate how quickly it seems to fade into WINTER 🙁
I love fall to. That pumpkin patch photo is awesome — perfect for Halloween.
I love the scenes of autumn!
Wow..the pumpkin pic is so simple but yet so beautiful!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
I like spring. It’s a sign of rebirth, birth and growth.
The whole year. I’ve always loved Winter, it’s fun for the kids, it’s got excitment of snow or no snow, it’s not too hot, and there’s always a chance school will be cancelled and if power isn’t out? you are home in your pjs watching cartoons. 🙂
I must say, fall is the best with all the colors changing, mother nature with her paint brush adding all the beautiful colors from her pallet!! Love the trees in your photos!! Would love to have some of those for projects!!
Stacy- I hope all is going well in your new home. Looks like the fall is beautiful there. There sure are a lot of pumpkins in that patch.
🙂
Okay, that’s the best pumpkin patch picture (say that three times fast) I’ve seen in a long time. Gorgeous! I love fall too. I bet you’re loving your new northeast location about now!
Thanks for linking up!
I love everything about fall! Those are beautiful photos.
Trees don’t really turn here in the Fall. Except brown so I LOVE seeing images of your gorgeous season change.
Oooo I love spring.. and winter too because I love snow!! hehe
I just LOVE the orange leaves against the blue, blue sky. One of my favorite things about Fall! 🙂
Definitely Fall because I love all the colors and great weather. We bought burning bushes finally for the front of our house, and I’ve been told it takes a couple of years for them to turn red. Well, this is the second year & I’m still waiting. They’re very green & have not been loosing any leaves yet. I’ll have to take pics & show you. Love Love Love you photos. Thanks for sharing.
I wish we got more variation in our colors. Most of the trees that grow here turn yellow. Or brown if it freezes at the wrong time.
I’m so glad you did double duty this week! Most of our trees this year are hanging on to those green leaves and then just falling off quickly. They are not as pretty as they usually are! I do love fall.
Thanks for linking up this week! 🙂
Beautiful photos! I especially like the 3rd and last ones. Have a fabulous weekend!
