When Princess Nagger was born, I was secretly relieved that I wouldn’t have to worry about lots of dirt and grime. Little did I know that she would be polar opposite of what I imagined in the ‘clean’ department.
She isn’t fazed by dirt, and I’m learning new tricks every day on trying to make sure the stains are able to be eliminated from just about everything.
The writing was on the wall (or in this case, the floor) when she decided to decorate herself and the floor with markers when she was 2:
She hasn’t slowed down since. She loves running around in the backyard pretending to be any number of creatures – some of which requires crawling around in the grass and dirt, naturally.
She apparently doesn’t think using a napkin is as fun as using her clothing to wipe her grimy hands on, so in addition to grass and dirt stains, I have to deal with anything from ketchup and mustard to blue dye from Popsicles and more.
Enter the addition of Little Dude – I expected my stained laundry mode to be expanded exponentially. Again, I was proven wrong. Little Dude is polar opposite in his OCD mode about not wanting even one little speck of dirt to be on him or his clothing, which makes him want to change his clothes all the time.
He’ll stand and watch Princess Nagger crawling around in the grass, but he gingerly walks around so as not to get any grass stains on himself. Cracks me up to no end.
But he has followed her footsteps in the ‘ignore-the-napkin’ mode and uses his shirt or pants to wipe his hands on – and since he’s a messy eater, we’re talking lots and lots of stains to deal with food-wise. That’s why I’m so glad I can confidently use OxiClean to eliminate the stains, so Little Dude doesn’t have a meltdown over the leftover dirt.
Recently I was introduced to OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover:
I gave it a test run with the dirty laundry and couldn’t have been more happy with the results. Stains I thought would surely not come out, did! As the kids gear up for the first day of school, I won’t have to worry about if they come home with random stains from the playground.
Little Dude starts Kindergarten this year, so I suspect his penchant for keeping grime-free will prove a challenge – luckily I’ll be able to make sure his favorite Thomas shirt is pristine for the next time he wears it.
The movers packed my little tub of OxiClean (among a slew of other things they weren’t supposed to pack), so I’ll be buying another tub of the OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover in the next day or two, because it’s going to make the clean up around here so much easier as we get the house ready for sale, and get ready for our big move. It’s not just for laundry, you know.
I love that it’s chlorine free and color safe, since it’s oxygen based for maximum strenght stain removal. OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover has the most stain fighting oxygen power of any OxiClean product, so it’s definitely going to be my ‘go-to’ for tackling any and all stains.
