On July 19th, Family Movie Night is going to be a rockin’ beach party of a night. Why? I’m glad you asked! In the tradition of High School Musical and Camp Rock, the Disney Channel is getting ready to bring yet another musical adventure to family movie night.
“Teen Beach Movie” is a breezy surf-rock musical comedy that also comes with a message for kids and tweens about the importance of believing in yourself and following your true destiny.
Princess Nagger was excited to see what was inside the box we received from Disney:
And shrieked with joy when she saw the loot inside:
Especially with the doll included, since she thinks the character Brady is a cutie:
She was also anxious to inflate the surf board to see what it was like, so of course it made for a fun photo op:
She was slightly reluctant to put the included fun mask on to transform into one of the characters in the movie, but she’s a great sport:
I tried to get Little Dude to put the other mask on and pose with her, but it was nap-time and he was cranky, so I figured I wouldn’t push it. Princess Nagger wants to throw a big beach movie party the night the movie airs, so she’s already planning on which friends she’ll be inviting over, and I’m plotting what kind of food I’ll be serving her guests.
Thankfully on the Teen Beach Movie website you can download a party kit that includes recipes, themed games, activities and music videos. Some of the cool ideas you’ll find are the origami lei necklaces for crafting, and the origami fortune tellers (Princess Nagger’s favorite).
The tasty recipes suggestions include Full Tank Fruit Skewers, Blue(berry) Hawaii Bread, and Rockin’ Raspberry Smoothies:
Be sure to remember the date! Teen Beach Movie will be premiering Friday, July 19th and 8pm/7c. This is one party you aren’t going to want to miss! Here’s a preview so you can see how cool (and fun) this movie will be for the whole family:
Do you enjoy Family Movie Night? Ever thrown a beach-themed party?
