Friday arrived very quickly this week – I kept thinking yesterday was Wednesday because Princess Nagger was off school for her final Teacher Inservice day, so I was off-kilter by one day all week. I like when Friday arrives faster than expected, don't you?
Since it's Friday, it's time to get the frag on and dump the clutter – ready, set, go!
My newest favorite show is Orphan Black. Unfortunately those that don't have cable won't know what I'm talking about since it airs on BBC America on Saturday night. But trust me, it's good. No, strike that, it's better than good. The lead actress Tatiana Maslany is phenomenal playing multiple roles:
It's about a group of women who look identical to each other – because, get this – they're clones. It's full of crazy twists and turns and Tatiana Maslany does such a great job with different accents, appearances and personality traits of her clones who are all from different countries and walks in life. It's crazy good.
Speaking of crazy good… We finally got to see the silhouette picture Princess Nagger won a prize for at the Art Show. In typical ‘artist' style, she was lamenting about the fact that she drew it so long ago (you know, earlier in the school year), and about how she's much better now and updated her wing technique. Her words. But seriously, I was majorly impressed by her artistry:
The photo doesn't quite do it justice – I opted not to take my big camera with me and used my phone instead, plus it was securely behind glass in a display case in the hallway of the school. I'll be sure to scan it ‘proper' once Princess Nagger gets to bring it home. That girl's got some mad skillz for a 10 year old, doesn't she?
Speaking of mad skillz… I saw this on Facebook the other day and had to save it, because you know Princess Nagger is going to want to make one of these:
Isn't that hilarious? Now to get all the office supplies to recreate it. I'll keep you posted.
That's a wrap for this week – don't forget, if you have fragmented or random thoughts more than once a week, you're always welcome to join me for Random Tuesday Thoughts each week as well. Have a great weekend!
For you amazing new followers, in case you missed it, Google Friend Connect is not available for those of us not hosted on Blogger – so we're stuck with utilizing an alternative with LinkyFollowers – I'd appreciate if you followed me there – or even on Bloglovin' – because I'm a long way off from the 2000 I had following me on GFC.
I've brought back the Friday Free For All I used to have available for you – link up any post you want, and so I can find you should you become a new stalker…I mean follower…of me (no giveaways though, please – because this is not a giveaway linky, duh!):

I made a button if you'd like to snag it so you don't forget to stop by to visit each Friday (I'm not above begging, y'know):
Wow! Princess Nagger is very talented. Hard to believe that she’s ten! She is very artistic.
Thank you very much, Simone! I’ll pass along your compliments to the Princess Nagger, she’ll be quite please! 😉 Have a great weekend! 🙂
I agree. very talented indeed.
Have a cool weekend.
Thank you very much – you have a cool weekend, too! 🙂
I love the art your daughter did and think she is very talented! Love, love, love the office supply art! 🙂
I obviously don’t know how to sign up with Mr. Linky…..sorry, I did try.
Thank you, Nancy! And no worries, I added you to the linky and will be by shortly…I’ve got your back! 😉
That drawing is pretty awesome!
Thank you, Rosey! 🙂
No joke… that IS super impressive art work!!!
Thank you so much, Rebecca Jo! 😀 Enjoy your weekend! 🙂
Mommy, first of all I have to comment on your lil’ mini me’s artistry. I am very impressed. Stacy, I apologize first for what I’m about to say, but I don’t think you’ll be mad when I say if you don’t pursue PN’s talents in the art world you’re a fool. That child’s imagination, and is priceless. Her drive for knowledge in art, animals etc. is beyond our understanding. You’ve got a time bomb on your hands, and some day her imagination is going to blow and I hope I’m around to see it. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY my friend!
You crack me up, Marie! I could never be mad at a wise suggestion! 🙂 I hope Princess Nagger never loses interest in being artistic – can you imagine how phenomenal she’ll be a few years from now, and particularly if she gets ‘artistic direction’? Boggles the mind! 😀 Definitely have a time bomb on my hands with that one – she’s already promised that when she become rich and famous she’ll take me to Paris. 😀 Happy Mother’s Day to you, too!
I’ve never heard of the show, but will look for it. We watch a lot of BBC stuff. Your daughter is very talented : ) Happy Mother’s Day to you!
It’s definitely worth finding and watching, Joyce – it’s a new series that started March 30th (I think the season is only 7 episodes, which means tonight is the season finale – but don’t quote me on that). 🙂 Happy Mother’s Day to you, too! 🙂
I think Princess Nagger’s “earlier” work looks great.
If that x-wing creation gets popular enough someone will package a set of office supplies just for it.
LOL! Thank you, Bill – I’ll pass that along to her. 😉 Have a great weekend! 🙂
Oh that X-wing fighter is totally awesome!!! I just showed it to my boys. They are off to imitate it 😉 I don’t think I have the brass brads, though.
I think that BBC show sounds awesome!! I don’t have cable, but I was told how to catch some of those shows via internet. I will have to check that out! Thanks for the heads up.
Yay for the art award. She does really good work, seriously! You have a wonderful Mother’s Day!!!!!
That’s funny your boys are trying to recreate the X-fighter – I hope they found something suitable for the brads, and that you take pictures! 😉 I watch most of my shows online (so much more convenient!) hopefully you’ll be able to find Orphan Black online to watch – if nothing else, they do have all the episodes on Netflix. 🙂 You have a wonderful Mother’s Day too, Kay! 🙂
Wow, that is amazing artistry for a 10 year old. Seriously, very impressed!! Found you from the TGIF Blog Hop and I’ll be following you via BlogLovin. Hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to you.
Penny from Mom Rants and Comfy Pants
Thank you Penny! 😉 Glad you found me – I’ve been by for a visit and love your blog, too! And of course I’m following you as well. 😉 Have a great weekend and Happy Mother’s Day! 🙂
OMG I just started watching Orphan Black about a week ago and I LOVE IT. She’s so versatile!
As PN would say, “I know, right?!” so versatile! LOVE that show – very cool you’re watching it, too! 😀
I will look for Orphan Black. I love BBC shows.
BBC shows are great aren’t they, Laurie? I’d love to hear what you think of Orphan Black after you check it out! 😀 Have a great weekend! 🙂
Hi Stacy! That picture made by Princess Nagger is really awesome! That is one of my frustrations (drawing, painting).. how I wish I am that talented, too. By the way, the office supply X-Wing was crazy! Whoever did that sure has a great imagination and talent.
Thank you, Jenn! I’m amazed at how good she is without getting any real ‘direction’ (except from her imagination, of course…heh!) And I’m right there with you on the office supply X-Wing thing – it’s crazy cool! 😀
The Princess’s picture is really good. Much much better than anything i’d be able to do.
Thank you, CJ! 🙂 I hope she doesn’t lose interest – imagine how awesome she’ll be years from now. 🙂 Have a great weekend! 🙂
Wow! I am greatly impressed with Princess Nagger’s creativity and artistic talents! The TV show does sound cool! Maybe it will come out on Netflix so I can check it out! Thanks for linking up at Friendship Friday! As always your friendship and support mean a lot to me!
Awwww! Thank you so much, Sylvia! You’re so sweet! And yes, you should definitely check out Orphan Black – I do believe it’s available on Netflix already! 🙂 Enjoy your weekend! 🙂
