Friday arrived very quickly this week – I kept thinking yesterday was Wednesday because Princess Nagger was off school for her final Teacher Inservice day, so I was off-kilter by one day all week.  I like when Friday arrives faster than expected, don’t you?

Since it’s Friday, it’s time to get the frag on and dump the clutter – ready, set, go!

My newest favorite show is Orphan Black.  Unfortunately those that don’t have cable won’t know what I’m talking about since it airs on BBC America on Saturday night.  But trust me, it’s good.   No, strike that, it’s better  than good.  The lead actress Tatiana Maslany is phenomenal  playing multiple roles:

TatianaMaslany

It’s about a group of women who look identical to each other – because, get this – they’re clones.   It’s full of crazy twists and turns and Tatiana Maslany does such a great job with different accents, appearances and personality traits of her clones who are all from different countries and walks in life.  It’s crazy good.

Speaking of crazy good…  We finally got to see the silhouette picture Princess Nagger won a prize for at the Art Show.  In typical ‘artist’ style, she was lamenting about the fact that she drew it so long ago (you know, earlier in the school year), and about how she’s much better now and updated her wing technique.  Her words.  But seriously, I was majorly impressed by her artistry:

PNDrawing

The photo doesn’t quite do it justice – I opted not to take my big camera with me and used my phone instead, plus it was securely behind glass in a display case in the hallway of the school.  I’ll be sure to scan it ‘proper’ once Princess Nagger gets to bring it home.  That girl’s got some mad skillz for a 10 year old, doesn’t she?

Speaking of mad skillz…  I saw this on Facebook the other day and had to save it, because you know Princess Nagger is going to want to make one of these:

FunnyX-Wing

Isn’t that hilarious?  Now to get all the office supplies to recreate it.  I’ll keep you posted.

That’s a wrap for this week – don’t forget, if you have fragmented or random thoughts more than once a week, you’re always welcome to join me for Random Tuesday Thoughts each week as well. Have a great weekend!

  2. Mommy, first of all I have to comment on your lil’ mini me’s artistry. I am very impressed. Stacy, I apologize first for what I’m about to say, but I don’t think you’ll be mad when I say if you don’t pursue PN’s talents in the art world you’re a fool. That child’s imagination, and is priceless. Her drive for knowledge in art, animals etc. is beyond our understanding. You’ve got a time bomb on your hands, and some day her imagination is going to blow and I hope I’m around to see it. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY my friend!

    1. You crack me up, Marie! I could never be mad at a wise suggestion! 🙂 I hope Princess Nagger never loses interest in being artistic – can you imagine how phenomenal she’ll be a few years from now, and particularly if she gets ‘artistic direction’? Boggles the mind! 😀 Definitely have a time bomb on my hands with that one – she’s already promised that when she become rich and famous she’ll take me to Paris. 😀 Happy Mother’s Day to you, too!

That’s funny your boys are trying to recreate the X-fighter – I hope they found something suitable for the brads, and that you take pictures! 😉 I watch most of my shows online (so much more convenient!) hopefully you’ll be able to find Orphan Black online to watch – if nothing else, they do have all the episodes on Netflix. 🙂 You have a wonderful Mother’s Day too, Kay! 🙂

  6. Hi Stacy! That picture made by Princess Nagger is really awesome! That is one of my frustrations (drawing, painting).. how I wish I am that talented, too. By the way, the office supply X-Wing was crazy! Whoever did that sure has a great imagination and talent.
