It is still April, isn’t it? Not August? Someone might want to inform Mother Nature about the error in her calculations on heat distribution that is usually saved for August. Spring is supposed to be pleasant temperatures where you can throw the windows open and let the fresh spring breeze air out the house and rid it of the winter hibernation stuffiness.
Spring is not the time to force us to dust off the window air conditioners to combat the outside temperature of the 90’s (which means the inside temp is in the 80’s) in April. Nice going, Mother Nature. Can we have spring, now? No more summer until it’s actually summer? If it’s going to be this hot, I’d much rather be hanging out on the beach, thankyouverymuch.
Speaking of Spring… This picture was floating around on Facebook a couple of weeks ago and cracked me up:
It’s been all about eggs this last week – you know, like cool looking Easter Egg salad from the eggs that had cracks in them while they dyed – the kids have gotten a kick out of that. OK, I’ve gotten a kick out of it too – it’s kind of fun mackin’ out on egg salad that is colorful – I might have to do that more often than once a year, just for fun.
Of course I was a major slacker on taking pictures (they were so pretty, too!) so I had to borrow one from the awesome Barbara Adams from Beyond Wonderful since she made a yummy looking Easter Egg Salad Sandwich herself:
If you click on her picture, it’ll take you right to the post where she tells you exactly how to make her version of the Easter Egg Salad Sandwhich. And now I’m craving an egg salad sandwich.
Speaking of Fun… Sometimes I have a habit of being OCD when it comes to spelling and grammar, so when I saw this floating around on Facebook it simultaneously cracked me up and had me cringing while I read it:
‘fess up – you were simultaneously entertained and cringing a bit too, weren’t you?
That’s a wrap for this week – if you have fragmented or random thoughts more than once a week, you’re always welcome to join me for Random Tuesday Thoughts each week as well. Have a great weekend!

For you amazing new followers, in case you missed it, Google Friend Connect is not available for those of us not hosted on Blogger – so we’re stuck with utilizing an alternative with LinkyFollowers – I’d appreciate if you followed me there – or even on Bloglovin’ – because I’m a long way off from the 2000 I had following me on GFC.

amazing how our minds can figure out those misspelled sentences.
We are not having spring yet because it’s too cold and you are having a heat wave. I like egg salad sandwiches but those colors mix in just doesn’t do it for me.

While you are having summer in April, we are still experiencing winter. You are right, Mother Nature is confused and is working hard to confuse us all.

I love, absolutely LOVE, the colored egg salad. I am salivating as I take in the image.
Since we went straight to summer here at 89 hot and miserable. I’m assuming that fall will come in the middle of summer too! Oy!
And I’m a bit OCD with grammar too but sometimes your brain miss things because it moves so fast 🙂

I will gladly trade weather with you =) Early this week we were in the 70’s. Then over the course of like maybe 48 hours we went from lovely spring to downpours, crazy wind, hail, tornado warnings, massive temp drops, then SNOW. I agree with my Mum that mother nature is dealing with some serious menopause right now.
I couldn’t even finish reading the spell checker I was cringing so much.
I’m not a terrible speller, however, I am a terrible typer and I constantly miss things when I post and comment. Top that off with the fact that I am usually surfing when I first wake up… OY! I am responsible for some doozies!
