Tuesday’s seem to be the least appreciated day of the week – Monday takes center stage in laments for being the beginning of a long week; Wednesday’s are acknowledged as ‘hump day’ with the promise of a downhill slide to the end of the week; Thursday is appreciated for being some people’s Friday and for the rest, the last early-to-bed work or school night.  And of course Friday is, well – Friday.

But Tuesday?  A day that rarely gets any accolades.  Unless you’re random, of course – then it’s a party.  Just sayin’.

I keep forgetting to remember to join in on Emmy’s “10 Things to Smile About” fun on the last Tuesday of the month – but this month I finally remembered!  So let’s get to it, shall we?

1. Dusting off my crafty chops and successfully creating a Minecraft Steve Head for Princess Nagger (and having her love it so much she fell asleep on the couch wearing it) definitely made me smile:

2.  Princess Nagger’s artistic ability also makes me smile:

3.  Being followed on Twitter by the gorgeous and talented actress/writer/producer Jennifer Fontaine who even tweeted me and subsequently re-tweeted some of my random tweets:

4.  Random Kitty Love always makes me smile:

5.  This hilarious K-Mart commercial definitely made me smile (and laugh out loud if you were wondering):

6.  Muscle-head Link using my arm as a pillow when I wasn’t paying enough attention to him:

7.  Neil Diamond showing up at Fenway Park in honor of Boston to lead the crowds in singing his song “Sweet Caroline”:

8.  Being asked by Auntie Anne’s to be a Brand Ambassador for them, then not only having a fabulous time learning all about the heavenly pretzels, but getting to meet the original entrepreneuer herself, Anne of Auntie Anne’s (who graciously taught us how to roll pretzel’s the ‘proper’ way – Anne’s pictured in the center of the shot, the fabulous Linsey Knerl of Knerl Family Media on the right):

9.  Spring finally making an appearance definitely makes me smile:

10.  My miracle baby (who’s clearly no longer a baby) not only getting bigger by the day, but more beautiful and dorky, makes me smile each and every day:

What made you smile in April?

That’s a wrap for this week – link up and join in the fun, everyone is welcome, random or not. Be sure to visit your fellow randomizers so they don’t feel so lonely.

More Tuesday hops – if you’re stopping by here from there, please do me a favor and follow via LinkyFollowers – since I was robbed of my GFC followers when the cads at Goggle decided to boycott non-Blogger blogs.  The Tuesday hops seems to have diminished – if you have one let me know and I’ll add you here, too!

  1. The yummy scent of Auntie Annie’s hot pretzel make me smile. I just love, love smelling them when I go to the mall and you are their Brand Ambassador. Now, that’s just too cool!

It’s good to see spring has moved into your area. We were in Kentucky on Friday and I the dogwoods are at their peak. Here, they have passed their peak, so that was a real treat to see again.

Small and young children give you many reasons to smile. It’s when they hit their teens and early adult years that your smile gets turned upside down. lol Hold onto these years while you can!

Thanks for keeping the random going each week. It’s always great fun to join your linky party!

  2. Mmmmm…pretzels are yummy, especially hot out of the oven with a bit of mustard.

Princess Nagger is quite the artist! Do you think she’d be interested in illustrating a children’s book for me? My art tends toward “three year old hopped up on sugar”, and doesn’t really cut it.

  3. Those are great things to smile about!!! Thanks. I think Princess Nagger is really talented. I teach a course on visual literacy and you should look for something like that for her at some point – teaches how to use color, perspective, shading…all sorts of things! But I know her days are already filled – just something to think about for down the line.

    Have a great week!

Things that made me smile are over on my blog. One is a certain young man who is rockin’ an Elmo tshirt and bare feet.

  6. I do not intend to show Turbo that Steve head. He would totally want one. What is it with Minecraft?

Cats are really attention hogs, on their terms of course.

  7. Looks and sounds like you have a lot of wonderful things to smile about! That minecraft head is really neat, that must have taken a lot of patience to get the colors right! & Your daughter must love to draw, that is so neat!
