Do you ever have those days where your brain is in a fog and your motivational factor is null and void? That’s pretty much how this week has been. I haven’t quite put my finger on the ‘why’ yet, I’m sure it’s a combination of still adjusting to the time difference, the hubby’s new schedule and the never-ending kid ‘tude that’s been running rampant lately with both kids.
I’m thinking escaping (and by ‘escaping’ I really mean ‘running away’) to a nice tropical island somewhere would be a great idea. Just sayin’.
Let’s have some fun today foggy brain and all, shall we? Here’s some random trivia facts for you to ponder:
You burn more calories sleeping than you do watching television (unless you fall asleep while watching television, I assume).
The first CD pressed in the US was Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA”
A duck’s quack doesn’t echo and no one knows why.
The 57 on the Heinz ketchup bottle represents the number of varieties of pickles the company once had.
Pearls melt in vinegar (I better not tell Princess Nagger that, she’ll want to conduct a scientific experiment).
Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning (I’m going to remember that the next time I’m having trouble getting the motor running in the morning, even with copious amounts of coffee).
Now some questions to ponder:
If procrastinators had a club would they ever have a meeting?
If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?
Have you ever wondered why just one letter makes all the difference between here and there?
How do you know when it’s time to tune your bagpipes?
Speaking of things to ponder… Taylor Swift posted this last week and I thought it was funny:
Speaking of funny…
Amen to that.
Speaking of wine… I got this spam comment left on my winemaking page:
Yes, I literally laughed out loud when I read that. I mean really? I have no words.
Next weekend is Easter – I’m already plotting and planning fun for the kids as well as our yummy family dinner. I ran across this idea, and think I’ll definitely have to make these little bunny rolls:
I found out later that the bunnies actually pictured are lemon filled cookies rather than dinner rolls, but I’m going to see if I can manage to make them in dinner roll style and not have them look like this:
Those ‘reality’ ones look pretty scary, don’t they? I suspect mine will look somewhere in between those two. We’ll see. Of course I’ll share with you so you can decide.
That’s it for this week – sorry I ran out of time and didn’t visit everyone last week – after I get back from my semi-monthly grocery shopping this afternoon, I’ll start to hippity hop through all the links and finish up this weekend.
If you have fragmented or random thoughts more than once a week, you’re always welcome to join me for Random Tuesday Thoughts each week as well. Have a great weekend!

Regarding wine, I know that the grape said nothing when trodden on by the elephant – it just let out a little wine…..
Love the questions to ponder, and the Friday Free For All too of course – thanks for hosting.

I actually knew that about apples. I swear by them. I try to eat one every day & I say the good ol motto “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”
I love stupid trivia… didnt know that was the first CD pressed. Pretty cool!
Well now…those bunnies look like something that came out of a Disturbed music video. And gees 57 kinds of pickles?!? I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing
