Two weeks until Christmas, people – two weeks. Are you ready? I’m not. I’m still scrambling to get things done – at least I finally got our tree decorated yesterday, so now there’s a place to put all the wrapped gifts. Which still need to be wrapped. After I remember where I’ve stashed them all. Ahem.
Since it’s December, we’re celebrating all month long with a continuous Holiday Theme, so grab your favorite videos and come play along. Let’s start off with another of my favorite American Idol winners – in his new music video, shots of him in the recording studio are cut with photos and videos of his younger self celebrating Christmas with his family and starring in the church nativity play. So cute.
Here’s Scotty McCreery with “Christmas Comin’ Round Again”:
Next up are three of my favorite artists together celebrating the Christmas season on the show that made country music famous, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee:
Give a listen to Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride and Julianne Hough with “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”:
Next up is another favorite group, who took their time on their new Christmas album, recording 12 songs over two separate summers — because they’re hoping it will “last through the years.”
Here’s Lady Antebellum with “Winter’s Night”:
Next up we find one of my all-time favorite country artist teamed up with one of my favorite pop stars in a great song collaboration for her album that was released in October:
Here’s Colbie Caillat and Brad Paisley with “Merry Christmas Baby”:
Next up is a song I dedicated to my brother for his birthday, since MMMM happened to land on said birthday. Yesterday was my birthday, my brother’s birthday is Wednesday, so I think it only appropriate I dedicate this song to him once again. Happy (early) Birthday, Mikey – here’s a “Box Of Rocks” (by The Song Trust):
And last, but certainly not least, for all my awesome friends who are celebrating Hanukkah (aka Chanukah) this week, here’s a favorite, Adam Sandler with “Hanukkah Song”:
Enjoy your Monday!
Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:
I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and her cohorts in crime, Lorie of The Shewbridges of Celebration, Florida, Callie from JAmericanSpice, Cathy from Cathy Kennedy’s Blog, and for the month of November, our Honorary Co-Conductor is none other than Santa Claus.
Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

The awesome Run DMT also hosts Music Monday (who graciously helps out with our hostessing every time we need it, and who I had the privilege of meeting in person at BlogHer – she’s even more adorable than I imagined):
LOVED Merry Christmas Baby! Happy 4Ms, and HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
First off, let me say Happy Birthday, again. Yep, I sent you birthday wishes on FB early last week cause I’m just not online much on the weekends and then I knew I wouldn’t notice past Bdays once I did get on. Wow. two birthdays within days apart. Your mother had her hands full, I know. Our two youngest have bdays the same month, but they are separated by 12 whole days. Did you know I’m a December baby, too? Yep, yep…my bday is actually this Friday. 🙂 Wouldn’t it be grand if we lived close by so we could celebrate our bdays together? That would be a blast!
Anywho, just loved all of your groovy Christmas picks. We are Scotty McCreery fans ever since he was on AI. Of course Lady Antebellum are great and Adam Sandler totally cracks me up! Have a great time this week dashing around the house in search of misplaced Christmas gifts. I need to do the same thing.
Happy Birthday!!! AND you knocked this Christmas post out of the park!! I will be getting that first song for sure, loved it,just loved it!! Have a great day 🙂 And, I hope your brother has a wonderful day too!!

It’s funny: I love Country but have never loved their Christmas versions. However, my husband and I were on a road trip once and couldn’t get any radio stations but he had Garth Brooks’ Christmas CD so we listened to that and it’s not bad!
I’m not much of a country music fan but I do love the Adam Sandler Song. I still have the SNL holiday special on the dvr and will be watching it at least once more before Christmas.
EEEEEEEEEEEEE haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa You go girl Luvin them all! From the three greats down to the big ol’ box of rocks! lol Just luvin’ that cutie! You never put up anything I don’t like. Two weeks. Our Christmas is already over though. But I guess I can make dinner 🙂
I enjoyed the music here today Stacy.

Thanks for a great post! We are big Lady Antebellum fans!
This is one of those times I wish I had a brother so I could post that song all over Facebook and dedicate it to him. LOL What a great song choice ^.^
You always pick some of the greatest musicians to post about for 4M’s!
Oh, and of course happy belated birthday! I hope you had the best day surrounded by family, friends and of course wine and chocolate 😉
Love all these songs, especially the inimitable Adam Sandler’s Chanukah song.
Ahhh! Love Adam Sandler’s song!
Once again Happy Birthday to you and to your brother as well.

Well happy birthday to you and your brother! Love all your song choices! Especially the Colbie Caillat one! Merry Christmas!
What a nice selection! Always wonderful to have favorite artists perform together. I marvel at how ‘normal’ their voice sounds when actually they’re already singing very high notes.
Happy birthday, Stacy!
Hey – Happy Birthday my friend! Hope you had a great day – I would have left you a slice of cake on my entry if I’d known LOL
Love Colbie and Brad together on that duet! awesome.
And I cannot wait to play that box of rocks song for my daughters — but I will have to wait until their brother is out of the house. haha
And of course, one must finish with Adam Sandler – indeed!
Loved these!!! You have set the spirit of Christmas with this post. Music and dance is what makes the mood festive. Thanks. Enjoy!!
