I am happy to report that Mother Nature finally seems to have gotten her hot flashes under control and finally departed with the humidity she’s been inundating us with for the past five months.  For some it might be a tad too chilly, but I’m enjoying the opportunity to layer, and not being forced to wear my hair in a perpetual pony tail to try to stay cool.  And now that things have finally cooled down, maybe the leaves will start turning into their glorious fall colors.

In case you didn’t know already, fall happens to be my favorite time of year.

It’s Monday, and Princess Nagger gets to enjoy today and tomorrow off thanks to Columbus and the teachers needing a break.  Well, OK, it’s actually Teacher Inservice, but we know they probably do appreciate the break.

This week’s theme for Monday’s Music Moves Me was selected by one of our awesome participants who was also a Spotlight Dancer recently – Lucy from Lucy’s Reality wants to know what songs make you turn your radio up. It was tough to pick only a few, since there are so many that have the honor of getting the volume cranked.  Let’s start off with one of my favorite artists newest songs, here’s Carrie Underwood with “Blown Away”:

Next up is a song that even Princess Nagger asks the volume to be cranked, here’s Little Big Town with “Pontoon”:

Next up is a song that this artist wrote in response to a comment from a member of his publishing company, who criticized him for recording too many songs with party themes.  Crank up the volume on Jerrod Niemann with “One More Drinkin’ Song”:

Next is a classic that always gets cranked up, here’s Queen with “We Will Rock You”:

Last (but certainly not least) yet another of my favorite artists whose song has the honor of having the volume cranked, because it’s definitely fun.  Here’s Dierks Bentley’s with “5-1-5-0”:

Have a great Monday.

Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:

I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and her cohorts in crime, Lorie of The Shewbridges of Celebration, Florida, Callie from JAmericanSpice, Cathy from Cathy Kennedy’s Blog, and for the month of October, our Honorary Co-Conductor is the lovely Rebecca from Every Day Life.

Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

The awesome Run DMT also hosts Music Monday (who graciously helps out with our hostessing every time we need it, and who I had the privilege of meeting in person at BlogHer – she’s even more adorable than I imagined):

More Monday Hops – hop along, won’t you?

It’s still so crazy hot and humid here. I’m just dying. When is fall coming?

Queen’s We Will Rock You is definitely a turn it up tune. Love that one! The rest were all new to me. Fun picks, mama!

  4. I have been cranking that Pontoon song out daily this summer! It’s such a fun song. Love Carrie’s new one too — and with her powerful voice, it plays loud anyway.
Queen – why didn’t I think of that one? fantastic!
