Since I haven’t had a chance to blog about BlogHer 12, I thought I would just do a quick pictorial post highlighting the weekend. Starting with Times Square, of course:
The two best roommates ever, Elle of Blue Monkey Butt (left) and Anne of Small Town Mommy (middle):
Having the honor of meeting Denise (right) from Run DMT in person:
The People’s Party where a giant bowling pin even danced with our mascot monkey our roommate Elle brought along for the ride:
Martha Stewart’s Keynote Luncheon – wish I could have actually met her and gotten a picture with her, but I was too shy to approach her:
The SocialLuxe Party of fun – thanks again so much for nominating me for the Smile Award and voting me into the 20 finalists. I didn’t win, but it was such a humbling honor to be nominated:
My two roomies playing the fun Disney Dance Wii Game:
The long line of people waiting to get into the Hasbro Party in the heat:
Fun at the Hasbro Party:
The awesome Sparklecorn Cake:
Ree Drummond (Pioneer Woman):
The lovely Lindsay Ferrier – founder and hostess of the infamous CheeseburgHer Party:
I decided to get creative with my cheeseburger and glow sticks:
And finally, our pile’o’luggage as we were getting ready to depart New York with Anne keeping watch:
It was a hot and humid whirlwind weekend – so many people in one location, in spite of the fact I don’t like big crowds I had a great time. Just wish I wasn’t so shy so I could have met some of the bloggers I’ve seen in the blogosphere that I recognized but was too shy to approach them and say hi. Maybe next time.

More Wordless and Wordful fun:
I had too much on my plate to attend BlogHer this year, which kind of sucked because I love New York! Maybe next year – I’ve never been to Chicago.

Did you at least get a chance to say “hi” to The Bloggess? She, along with Laura Mayes, hosted the first get-together where I was introduced to the whole idea of meeting fellow blogger-people in real life (who woulda thunk?)
Happy WW! And, if BlogHer ever comes to Houston, maybe I can even make it!

Great photos! Looks like everyone had a fab time! x
Wow, looks like a whirlwind time. I’m glad your smile got nominated, because you’ve really got a good one.
Love what you did with the glow sticks. You’ll appreciate this one for Halloween: Cut different shaped “eye” holes into old paper towel tubes. Place glow sticks inside, and leave them spaced out in shrubbery that leads up to your front door.
I was in that Hasbro line, and I was at Social Luxe! Oh why didn’t we meet?!!!! We must make plans to meet next year, for sure! (assuming you’re going.)

What fun. I had hoped to go but my sponsor fell through. Hoping it will make it to the west coast again. Next year we are on a cruise the same time as BH…so will have to wait until the following year. Maybe Blissdom! 🙂

I would never be able to go to one of those, I just cannot handle all those people in one place. Not to mention I’m scared to death of NYC, HaHa.
I aknow you really wish you had met Martha Stewart – that’s one thing I really would have loved to do, too.
