When we got home from our vacation late last Monday night, there was a big box waiting patiently for us on our porch, full of fun goodies:

What’s included:

I had hoped the goodies would arrive before we left on vacation, since Princess Nagger was hoping to get rich from having a lemonade stand with the help of her cousins since they live in a ‘normal’ neighborhood and we live on a busy street that isn’t conducive to her entrepreneurial visions.

It’s been so stinkin’ hot here that she’s still thinking about setting up a stand on our front porch and taking her chances.  I’ll let you know if she rakes in the cash or drinks all her profits.  It could get interesting.

Both kids were absolutely thrilled with the giant badminton set – I had to make sure they didn’t whack each other in their enthusiasm to bat the birdies around.

The golf club with colored balls was another fun activity for them to fight over enjoy, while getting some fresh air and sunshine – until it was too hot to stand it outside any longer and they started playing with those things inside the house.  I had to put a stop to that, of course.  I’m such a mean mommy sometimes.

Princess Nagger is excited to create a book with the Kid Made Modern Board Book Kit – you can rest assured I’ll be sharing what she creates when she’s done.  You know it’ll be very creative.

The same goes for the cool Kid Made Modern Printed Tape Set – who knew you could create fun and interesting items with duct tape?  Stay tuned for some fun creativity coming up.

Why all the awesome goodies?  I’m glad you asked.  It just so happens that all the goodies are from Target, and they happen to be the destination for summer fun.  They’ve been running a fun “Big Honkin’ Summer” campaign – I’m a little late to the party due to my vacation, but better late than never, right?

Check out Target’s Facebook page for some absolutely great ideas.  Anytime I need anything fun for summer, Target is my first choice – they have everything you need from summer toys to snacks to swimming suits to sunscreen and everything else – all at great prices.

All you have to do is follow the giant beach balls, sunglasses and sand bucket signs at Target to find all the summer toys and merchandise.  Those strategically placed signs delight when we’ve shopped there lately.

And if that isn’t enough, just for fun, you can use the Target “Summer-izer” Facebook application add “Big Honkin’ Summer” icons and larger-than-life props to your summer photos. You can then print them at your local Target photo center or share them online.  I need to pick some of our vacation pictures to utilize that soon, Princess Nagger has been nagging me about it.

What are your fun summer plans?
