Where is the time going?  Princess Nagger is off school today, so naturally I set up her annual physical just to annoy her.  At least she isn’t due for shots for another couple of years, so she’s fine with it – except for having to get up early on her day off instead of sleep the morning away like she’d like to do.

It also means she only has two more Monday’s left of the school year, since the last Monday of the month is a holiday, and she’s done with school just a few days later.  Time is definitely flying by way too fast.

This week’s Monday’s Music Moves Me theme was suggested by one of our regular participants, Mr. Cool (who is currently on hiatus from blogging taking care of family business) songs from artists from other countries.  I had fun digging through and discovering that lots of artists I really enjoy are from all over.

Let’s start off with a group from where my ancestors hail, Sweden.  Here’s Ace of Base with their 90’s hit, “All That She Wants”:

Next let’s travel to Australia and enjoy Savage Garden with “Truly Madly Deeply”:

Sticking around Australia for another round of fun, here’s Gotye (featuring Kimbra) with “Somebody That I Used To Know”:

Next up from the Netherlands, a song that our friend (and fellow co-hostess) Cathy shared last week (but it’s too good not to share again), here’s Pitbull with “Back In Time” (featured in “Men In Black III”):

And finally, because I simply cannot not have a country tune in here, here’s Award Winning British Singer Lucie Diamond with “Don’t Even Think About It”:

Enjoy your Monday!

Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:

I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and her cohorts in crime, Lorie of The Shewbridges of Celebration, Florida, Callie from JAmericanSpice, and our newest permanent fixture to the hostessing team, welcome Cathy from Cathy Kennedy’s Blog.  Also for the month of May, we have the honor of having our friend Denise from Run DMT generously helping out with our hostessing duties.

Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

  1. Wow. The first two are some serious blasts from the past! I hadn’t heard those in ages!

I love that Gotye song! The video is incredible. I love that musicians are returning to the art of music videos again.

I shared Pitbull this week too. Pitbull is HAWT and I love the “Baby, You’re the One” mixed into this song. It was always one of my favorite songs from Dirty Dancing.

There are British country artists???? Who knew?! Thanks for educating me! 😀

  3. Great choices. I didn’t have a chance to dig into the “international” songs this morning! You did great!

Yeah, for clutter. I need to get moving. Tara texted me to tell me she’s not feeling well and wants to come home. She just can’t let me have time at home… ALONE. I told her if the nurse calls me I will come, but ra I’m not making up an “appointment” just to pick her up early! KIDS.
Tara had to get a Chicken Pox “booster” a few weeks ago… since the PA deadline was looming. She is such a wimp for shots… yet she’s got 14 piercings in her face/ears!
    Have a good day!

  4. I loved Ace of Base back in the day. And I always thought of Truly Madly Deeply as Nick’s and my song.
The countdown is one at our house. It’s 18 days until the end of the school year and Turbo’s birthday, which happen to coincide this year. Time is speeding by far too fast.
