It’s hard to believe that 4 out of 5 of Princess Nagger’s 5-day weekend have already come and gone.  Today’s her last day of freedom before riding off on that big yellow bus tomorrow – we’ll be starting the day off today by taking Little Dude in for his first dentist appointment and teeth cleaning – at least it won’t be her in the dentist chair, so she’s all for it.  Even Little Dude is excited for his first royal teeth treatment.

Let’s hope that excitement remains as he gets older and he doesn’t form the aversion to the dentist chair that Princess Nagger and the hubby have.

With Monday comes Monday Fun in the form of Music – particularly this week since the theme is Songs That Make You Laugh.  I had fun trying to find laughable – I mean funny – songs, so now you get to enjoy some fun, too.  You can’t think ‘funny’ without thinking of “Weird Al” Yankovic, and the first song that came to mind was “Like A Surgeon”:

In my perusal to find some funny songs, I ran across the “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” and in particular a video that cracked me up, especially since it has one of my favorite (and yummy) stars, Nathan Fillion singing in it.  Here’s Nathan with “Everybody’s A Hero”:

Gotta love it.  And I still love him even though he dissed The Bloggess by not ponying up a picture of himself holding twine per her request – even though everyone else in the world did.

If you happen to be a How I Met Your Mother (aka HIMYM) fan (and if you aren’t, why?) you’ll recognize the next video as the adorable star, Cobie Smulders as Robin Scherbatsky as Robin Sparkles with “Let’s Go to the Mall”:

The hilarity of Let’s Go To The Mall was followed by a sequel – here again is Cobie Smulders as Robin Scherbatsky as Robin Sparkles with “Sandcastles In The Sand”:

Last, but oh most definitely not least, still in the HIMYM mode we can’t leave out the LEGEN… wait for it… DARY Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson with “Nothing Suits Me Like a Suit”:

Wasn’t that fun? What are your favorite songs that make you laugh?  Enjoy your Monday!

Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:

I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and her cohorts in crime, Lorie of The Shewbridges of Celebration, Florida, and Callie from JAmericanSpice.

Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

The awesome Run DMT also hosts Music Monday (and graciously helps out with our hostessing every time we need it):

  3. Ha, good picks this week. I almost chose Like a Surgeon. Elliot gets to go to the dentist soon too. I go next week and will be scheduling his appt. He went with me last time so he sort of knows what to expect. Hope it’s not traumatic! Happy Monday.

  5. I like HIMYM in theory, but rarely ever have time to watch it. *pout*

I am a big boring stick in the mud, too, because the only funny songs that pop into my head are from the late 90’s. I always found “People are still having Sex,” to be a rather hilarious song.
