After a chilly (and sometimes rainy) weekend, I’m ready for a full-on sunshine-y day today.  Princess Nagger had fun trying to pull pranks on the hubby and Little Dude yesterday (and I admit, I did help her), so her day was complete.  She’s happy she only has three days of school this week before a 5-day weekend for Easter weekend (and looking forward to the Easter Bunny hopping through hiding eggs and leaving her a much anticipated Easter basket).

Since it’s Monday, let’s make it a lot more fun with some great music, shall we?  This week is a freebie week, so we get to go crazy.  Well, you know.

Let’s start things off with the Eli Young Band – their latest single cracked the top 20 last week and is one of the fastest rising songs on the Billboard country songs chart.  Here’s “Even If It Breaks Your Heart”:

Next up is a song I heard on last week’s episode of GCB (if you haven’t watched it yet, you really should) so I had to look up the song and who did it, since I was unfamiliar with it.  Here’s Elizabeth Cook with “Sometimes It Takes Balls To Be A Woman”:

This next song gets to me every time I hear it – get some tissues ready (or at the very least be ready for some goosebumps) – here’s Kelly Pickler with “I Wonder”:

Let’s liven things up a bit with a fun song from Chris Cagle, “I Got My Country On”:

Last, but certainly not least, a song that made it to the #1 song on the Billboard Top 40 this week, here’s Kelly Clarkson with “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)”:

What are you listening to this week? Enjoy your Monday!

Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:

I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and her cohorts in crime, Lorie of The Shewbridges of Celebration, Florida, and Callie from JAmericanSpice.

Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

  5. You know, if you really think about it, men as a group are pretty weak when compared to women, haha!

I was just thinking about this the other day. A man gets angry and punches his fist into a wall, or breaks something, or starts a war and blows something up, and everyone calls him tough. A woman gets angry and cries and wants to talk about her feelings, but doesn’t destroy anything that’s going to take an incredible amount of money, time, or effort to fix, and she’s weak. Really?

Haha, men should be as “weak” as we are!

    Great choices today. 🙂

  6. Kelli Pickler has such a lovely voice. I was always a fan of hers when she first showed up on AI years ago. Too bad she didn’t win the title. I hope PN is doing better. I know what it’s like to suffer with ear problems. This is the story of my own childhood. Thankfully none of our kiddos EVER had problems with their ears.

  7. The Kelly Pickler song had me tearing up and I noticed that song on GCB too, I love that show!! I have a few songs to add to my iPod this is great!!
Enjoy your upcoming long weekend! Oh, and glad Princess Nagger got to pull off some of her April Fool fun 🙂
