Mother Nature’s Menopause is in full swing – as in, she’s on the downward side with a high of 55 today after sending us 80+ degree weather last week.  We’re expecting a (hopefully final) spring freeze tonight when the temps dip below freezing.  Hopefully it won’t be too hard on the freshly awakening plants, and if it wipes out colonies of mosquitoes and stink bugs, I’m willing to add a layer.

It’s Monday, which means we get to dance to some great music.  This week’s theme for Monday’s Music Moves Me is our favorite male artists.  I had trouble whittling it down to just a few – you could have been here all day.  So we’ll just go with some of my top favorites for today.

First up we of course have Brad Paisley – he definitely ranks up there on my top favorite performers of the male persuasion.  I remember getting hooked on his songs after hearing this one on the radio and being rabid about finding out who did this song and the rest, as they say, is history.  He’s cute and funny, and he was smart enough to marry one of my favorite actresses, Kimberly Williams-Paisley.  Here’s my boy Brad with “I’m Gonna Miss Her”:

Next up is another favorite cutie and in honor of Spring Break (though Princess Nagger’s school doesn’t get a break) here’s Luke Bryan with a fun song, “Suntan City”:

While the next one isn’t actually an individual, I do love me some Adam Levine, so here’s Maroon 5 with “Won’t Go Home Without You”:

I loved the original version of Footloose, and I’m looking forward to seeing the updated movie especially since another of my favorite boys, Blake Shelton did a great job on the title song for the new movie.  Here’s Blake with “Footloose”:

Last, but certainly not least, is another favorite – Bruno Mars with a goose-bump-inducing song and awesome video, “Just The Way You Are”:

Who are your favorite male artists?  Enjoy your Monday!

Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:

I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and her cohorts in crime, Lorie of The Shewbridges of Celebration, Florida, and Callie from JAmericanSpice.

Want to join in the fun? It’s easy – just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

  3. Knew there would be a Brad Paisley song! 😀 He is such a cutie besides being funny and a great singer/songwriter.

I enjoyed the Suntan City song. I definitely need that play for Spring Break next week. We’ll be spending a lot of days in the sun with a cold one in my hand.

Love, love, love Adam Levine. He’s so hot and his voice just melts me.

  4. Mother Nature’s hotflash is way felt too much here. I just don’t think we’re going to get a Dogwood/Blackberry winter this year. In fact, the dogwoods have alreayd peaked here. This is really going to throw the city’s Dogwood Arts Festival off key.

I’ve gotta check out Maroon 5 & Bruno Mars a little more. They seem to be grabbing my attention today. I loved dancing with you, as always!

  5. That Bruno is quite talented isn’t he? and humble too. I recently saw an interview with him and he seems very down to earth. Great picks…I have some country too…Have a great Monday! We’re having the same weather you are 🙁
