I’m still playing catch-up after five solid days (and nights) of no internet, cable or phone. It’s such a relief to have all the modern conveniences back, though my ‘to do’ list has become crazy. I might have to just delete it and start fresh. Just to keep what little sanity is left.
Speaking of sanity, it’s Monday and that means we get to jam to some excellent music. This week we’re having a Déjà vu moment, revisiting 80’s music like we did a month ago. So many great tunes to choose from, it deserves a revisit.
Let’s get this 80’s party started with Def Lepard’s “Pour Some Sugar On Me”:
Next up is Hall and Oates – c’mon, admit it, you sang along to their songs too. Here’s “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)”:
Next, you can’t have 80’s music without including Madonna. If you’re an 80’s child I bet you have pictures somewhere of you dressing up as or trying to emulate Madonna. And I bet you sang (or at least lip synced to) her song, “Like A Virgin”:
Last, but certainly not least, you can’t have lived the 80’s and not danced to Run DMC’s “Walk This Way”:
Why don’t you Walk This Way and enjoy your Monday!
Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:
I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and her cohorts in crime, Lorie of The Shewbridges of Celebration, Florida, and Callie from JAmericanSpice for Monday’s Music Moves Me – want to join in the fun? It’s easy peasy! Just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!
INTRODUCING “OUR SPOTLIGHT COUPLE”
The awesome Run DMT also hosts Music Monday:
I’m also linking up for what was the Sunday Song Hop and now is Pinning and Singing on the Weekend over at 5 Minutes Just For Me: I’m going to have to get busy pinning, but at least it’s to share music, too:
Love your collection of 80s music.really brings back fun memories of that period. I too love Def Leppard.

Love your choices. I was (am) a big fan of Hall and Oates. They are local boys – John went to high school w/ my sister and the performed a concert at our school!
Glad you are finally reconnected. Sometimes we do just have to start The List over. I do that when I get overwhelmed!

What was it that Hall and Oates couldn’t go for? Tampax for a girlfriend? Hell, no, I am not going to the Piggly Wiggly to get you some tampons. And then they have to advertise the whole discussion in a song. That poor woman had no privacy.
Love,
Lola
