I’ve decided that I need to learn the art of not blinking – not only are the weeks flying by, but did you realize there’s only 103 days left before Christmas?  Hey, don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just as discombobulated as you are.

Since the last week has seemingly sped by at the speed of light, it’s time once again for Monday’s Music Moves Me.  And, since Lee has been generously dousing us with the wet stuff falling from the sky incessantly, I’ve decided this week for freebie week, it’s all about water and rain.  I know, exciting stuff for sure.

Let’s start off with one of my all-time favorite artists, Brad Paisley – I know I’ve already posted this song before, but it’s too good to leave out.  It’s just too bad our basement sporting water didn’t look this good (or fun):

Next up is yet another one I’ve shared before, but in keeping with my own personal theme, one that can’t be left out.  Besides, Luke Bryan is also a cutie patootie, so you can enjoy his take with “Rain is a Good Thing” (if you insist, Lukey):

This next song has always been one of my favorite ones from Trisha Yearwood, “Georgia Rain”:

Last, but certainly not least, since yesterday was the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, I found this poignant tribute to all those who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks:

Enjoy your Monday – and don’t forget your umbrella!

Now on to the particulars of Monday’s Music Move’s Me:

I have the supreme honor and privilege of being a co-host with the inimitable Xmas Dolly and her cohorts in crime, Lorie of The Shewbridges of Celebration, Florida, and Callie from JAmericanSpice for Monday’s Music Moves Me – want to join in the fun? It’s easy peasy! Just find a tune that rocks your boat, post it and link up – don’t forget to grab Xmas Dolly…er, um, I mean her button…over at her place here. Check out Xmas Dolly’s sidebar for the random themes we sport each week – and you can always ask for a specific theme of music you like, too. Check out the other music lovahs and let’s jam!

I’m also linking up for what was the Sunday Song Hop and now is Pinning and Singing on the Weekend over at 5 Minutes Just For Me: I’m going to have to get busy pinning, but at least it’s to share music, too:

More Monday Hops – hop along, won’t you?

  1. I love Luke Bryan! But there’s just something about Brad Paisley that seems false to me. I can’t figure out what it is! Anyway, happy Monday!

  2. nice…fun songs…and thanks for the tribute at the end as well…brad paisley is rather fun to see in concert as well…and my best friends name is Luke Bryan….joke with him all the time about the rain…

  3. Love the water theme! We had buckets of the stuff last week, thanks to Lee too. I didn’t get to run at all.

That 911 tribute was so eerie. I tried to listen to it, but I got all choked up again. 🙁

  4. We could use little more water my way this morning to put out the high school on fire quicker.

Love your choices……especially Brad…..that goes without saying.

  5. Great 4M picks! I loved the tribute to the 9/11 victims. We can’t ever forget that day least history repeat itself. It would be nice to believe that love is the answer, but truthfully terrorists do not understand what love is with their hearts filled with such hate. Thanks for sharing!

  6. Your post was great…I know they all are great but this one was particularly fabulous because you covered so many important issues through music! Thanks for introducing me to Brad Paisley too. I hadn’t heard him before!

Thank you so much for linking your Music Monday post to my Pinning & Singing Party. I’m sorry I’m late to visit but Spring break starts here this weekend and I have been busy getting things ready for a beach holiday and helping the kids study for exams. I need a holiday just as much as the kids!

    Best wishes,
    Natasha.
