Holy cow it’s been a busy week, followed by an even busier weekend – hard to fathom that it’s already Monday, but here it is, Monday.  The awesome unbloggable has finally come to fruition – of which I still cannot blog about, but will be able to give you a hint and a peek tomorrow…just a teaser.  But it should whet your appetite.  Or at the very minimum cause you to ponder “Ahhhh, that’s why she’s been a bit scarce in the blogosphere as of late”.  Things are a-changin’, and it’s all good.  Just know that it’s going to be a wild ride.

Speaking of appetites, I prefaced this post with another separate post full of yummy goodness food-wise – when you’re done here, you’ll have to go check it out, because you’ll be drooling on your keyboard, guaranteed.  Plus there’s a giveaway involved, so if you like to cook, it’s definitely for you.

But since it is Monday and today is a day for music, let’s get to it, shall we?  It’s a freebie week, and since I’ve been so inundated with the awesome unbloggable I haven’t had a chance to catch my breath and relax to some tunage, I thought I’d do that now.  With you.

First we’ll start off with a song that should bring a smile to your face – well, you know, because it’s entitled “Smile”:

Smile Lyrics
Uncle Kracker

You’re better than the best
I’m lucky just to linger in your light
Cooler than the flip side
Of my pillow, that’s right

Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where
You send me, lets me know that it’s okay
Yeah, it’s okay
And the moments where my good times start to fade

You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed
Sing like a bird, dizzy in my head
Spin like a record, crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Even when you’re gone,
Somehow you come along just like
A flower pokin’ through the sidewalk crack
And just like that
You steal away the rain, and just like that

You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed
Sing like a bird, dizzy in my head
Spin like a record, crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Don’t know how I lived without you
‘Cause every time that I get around you
I see the best of me inside your eyes
You make me smile

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild

You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed
Sing like a bird, dizzy in my head
Spin like a record, crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile
(Oh, you make me smile)
Oh, you make me smile
(Oh, you make me smile)
Oh, you make me smile

Next up is an inspirational song by one of my favorite groups, Emerson Drive – “I Love This Road”:

I Love This Road Lyrics
Emerson Drive

Well there’s a long long stretch of highway
Here in front of me
It just seems to keep on winding
As far as I can see
Sometimes these wrong turns are sweet mysteries
Sometimes they take us where were meant to be

[Chorus]
I love this feeling of freedom running through my veins
Been too long at the crossroads waiting for the light to change
Even if it takes forever and I never find out where it goes
Heaven knows
I love this road
I love this road

Well these days become a lifetime
It happens way too fast
And you miss whats round the corner
If you just keep looking back
Sometimes it feels like you cant find your way
Sometimes all you have to go on is faith

[Repeat Chorus]

Wind at my back and the sun on my shoulders
Pushing me moving me a little bit closer
Sometime a little trust is just enough to take you there

[Repeat Chorus]

And finally, I’m finishing up this week’s Monday’s Music Moves Me with a song dedicated to a foodie blogger, Jennifer Perillo from In Jennie’s Kitchen, who just a week ago lost her husband unexpectedly when he had a heart attack and died at a young age.  You may have seen the trending hashtag on Twitter #apieformikey where people and bloggers all over were paying tribute to her husband by making a peanut butter pie – which was his favorite.  Since I didn’t get a chance to make a pie, this song’s for Jennifer:

Just Breathe Lyrics
Pearl Jam

Yes I understand that every life must end, aw huh,..
As we sit alone, I know someday we must go, aw huh,..
I’m a lucky man to count on both hands
The ones I love,..

Some folks just have one,
Others they got none, aw huh,..

Stay with me,..
Let’s just breathe.

Practiced are my sins,
Never gonna let me win, aw huh,..
Under everything, just another human being, aw huh,..
Yeh, I don’t wanna hurt, there’s so much in this world
To make me bleed.

Stay with me,..
You’re all I see.

Did I say that I need you?
Did I say that I want you?
Oh, if I didn’t now I’m a fool you see,..
No one knows this more than me.
As I come clean.

I wonder everyday
as I look upon your face, aw huh,..
Everything you gave
And nothing you would take, aw huh,..
Nothing you would take,..
Everything you gave.

Did I say that I need you?
Oh, Did I say that I want you?
Oh, if I didn’t now I’m a fool you see,..
No one know this more than me.
As I come clean.

Nothing you would take,..
everything you gave.
Hold me till I die,..
Meet you on the other side.

You, my Dear Readers, make me smile like the sun – I’ll meet you on the other side…enjoy your Monday!
