Did you hear? P&G and Wal*Mart are bringing back Family Movie Night – starting tomorrow night! I don’t know about you, but I really enjoy when we have Family Movie Night together – Princess Nagger really gets into it, too, by making sure we switch all the lights off to “Make it feel just like a movie theater!” We pop popcorn and settle in for great bonding moments.
If you don’t traditionally do Family Movie Night, now is as good a time as any to start – the kickoff movie is “Where’s Simon Miller?” tomorrow night (August 6th on NBC at 8pm ET/7pm CT ) and it has something for everyone.
I had the privilege of viewing this movie earlier this week, and roped both the hubby and Princess Nagger into watching it with me online. We all thoroughly enjoyed it – hubby thought it was going to be a chick-flick, but even he was pleasantly surprised at the cloak-and-dagger spy movie it turned out to be, and it was even perfect for Princess Nagger who was thoroughly impressed by the kids prominent part in this movie as well.
About the movie:
When unassuming geologist Simon Miller mysteriously disappears one night, the Miller family is thrown into a desperate search to find him. Simon’s wife Meredith and their two kids, Sarah, 18, and Kevin, 15, frantically search Simon’s office for information. When they find a stash of passports, all with Simon’s picture but each with a different alias, they realize that their father has been keeping more than a few secrets. Who is Simon Miller? And what has he gotten himself – and now his family – into? Not sure they can even trust the Dad they thought they knew, the Millers embark on an international mission to get him back. It’s a heart-pounding adventure that tests the limits to which families will fight for each other. (The movie stars Robyn Lively, Loren Dean, Skyler Day, Drew Koles, and Christine Baranski.)
This is definitely a must see in my book – you can check out more infomation about Family Movie Night on their website, or on the Family Movie Night Facebook page. You can also see a preview here:
Which brings me to this week’s question(s):
Do you have a regular (or irregular) Family Movie Night? Who usually chooses which movie to watch?
Have a great weekend!

Ours are more irregular. The kids and I do Pizza and Movie nights! I set them up at the coffee table in front of the TV and they get to eat pizza while we watch a movie! I pick the movie so that we can watch something different each time. I usually set it all up secretly and surprise them!

That’s so cool..Friday movie night.. I’m looking forward to doing such stuff when the baby is much older.
Don’t do movies on Friday night because I work nights, and my family is all grown and have family’s of their own. My grandson comes and visits me on weekend, and I am teaching him how to play golf. Have a great weekend. I’m in a contest and I’d love it if you’d stop by later on, and come check it out, and possibly vote for me. Thank you.
We usually have Family Movie Nights on Fridays or Sundays. It also depends on what we can find at Blockbuster or Redbox that we haven’t seen yet! But we do really love to watch movies together- especially the snacking on popcorn and ice cream part! LOL!
We used to do Friday night movie night. No more! Baseball has taken over!! Ha!!
Hugs

Nope! No regular night. Sorry! I pick the movies when Dave’s not home & we pretty much agree when he is home.
I’ve been trying to convince hubby we need to do Movie Night. He’s going through a mid-life “I’m just like a self-centered 20-year-old” thing…he’d better get over it quick before I pull out the old cast-iron frying pan!
I like to have one. however getting the family to particapate is rough. So I watch them myself, usually on the weekends, Saturday evenings.
Auntie E would like you to read ..Fridays question? Vacation Spot?
I always fall asleep watching a movie..
Fridays, when we’re not fishing & my son usually picks. He’s too old to make him watch ‘chick flicks’. LOL
Have a Great weekend, Stacy!!
