So today is 01-10-11…this year’s dates are going to be fun to write, like when we get to 9-10-11.   Or any of the days in November, where the date writing will start and end with ’11’.  I wonder how many people will plan a special event for 11-11-11 for that numbers thing?  But that’s quite a ways in the future – I’m bound and determined not to blink too much so this year doesn’t fly by as fast as the last couple of years seem to have done.

It’s also Monday – and you know what that means, another fun week of Monday’s Music Moves Me!  Princess Nagger made a special request for the song this week – she wanted me to post her newest all-time favorite “To the Sky” from the movie “The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole”.  I downloaded the soundtrack on the MP3 player she got for Christmas – she’s been walking around all weekend learning/singing this song.  It’s quite catchy, and even uplifting – enjoy!

To the Sky lyrics

Dada, dada, dadadadadadada
Dada, dada, dadadadadadada

Shipwreck in the sea of faces,
There’s a dreamy world up there,
Dear friends in higher places,
Carry me away from here,
Travel light let the sun eclipse you,
‘Cause your flight is about to leave,
And there’s more to this brave adventure,
Than you’d ever believe…

Birdseye view, awake the stars ’cause they’re all around you,
Wide eyes will always brighten the blue,
Chase your dreams, and remember me, speak bravery,
’cause after all those wings will take you, up so high,
So bid the forest floor goodbye, as you brace the wind and,
Take to the sky……as you take to the sky

Dada, dada, dadadadadadada
Dada, dada, dadadadadadada

On the hills of lore and wonder,
There’s a stormy world up there,
You can’t whisper above the thunder,
But you can fly anywhere,
Purple burst of paper birds this
picture paints a thousand words,
So take a breath of mist and mystery,
And don’t look back!

Birdseye view, awake the stars ’cause they’re all around you,
Wide eyes will always brighten the blue,
Chase your dreams, and remember me, speak bravery,
’cause after all those wings will take you, up so high,
So bid the forest floor goodbye, as you brace the wind and,
Take to the sky……

There’s a realm above the trees,
Where the lost are finally found,
So touch your feathers to the breeze,
And leave the ground…

Birdseye view, awake the stars ’cause they’re all around you,
Wide eyes will always brighten the blue,
Chase your dreams, and remember me, speak bravery,
’cause after all those wings will take you, up so high,
So bid the forest floor goodbye, as you brace the wind and,
Take to the sky… you take to the sky…

Dada, dada, dadadadadadada
Dada, dada, dadadadadadada

You take to the sky.

Enjoy your Monday! Let’s all spread our wings and take to the sky!

Princess nagers knows what’s good in music.
Thanks for sharing this today with all of us!

  3. I love fun dates. PB and I were married on 9/8/7. I hoped little o would be born on 9/9/9, but he thought the 8th sounded better.

That song is catchy. Good stuff!

  4. My husband took my younger daughter to see that. She really enjoyed it. I am sure she would recognize the song even if I don’t.

  5. Hi!! I think it is going to be interesting with all the 11s but did you know that 11/11/11 from the 1900’s was the day the treaty was signed to end WW1 and it was at 11am, so this year will be 100 yrs of that anniversary. I suspect there will be some events planned?

  6. Music is so important to me, I could live without it! I never understood why my mom would hate driving with the radio on, she wanted peace and quite. Peace and quite? I need music yo!

  7. Almost Hubs and I started dating on 11-11. This year would be our fifth aniversary. We attempted to get married on 11-11-11, but decided to jump the gun and do it in August. There’s already been a bunch of weddings on 01-01-11 and tomorrow 1-11-11. but really, who wants to get married on a Tuesday? -J

  8. I can see why Princess Nager loves this song… it is so much fun and the video is cool. I haven’t heard it before and didn’t see the movie.
Thanks for posting this and for playing along… can’t wait for your choice next Monday, you always have such fun choices. Have a great week.

  9. So my friend, what a cute song. I have so got to see that movie. I saw coming attractions at the IMAX theater when I was seeing a different movie & it really looked cool. It was in 3D wasn’t it? Anyway, if you get some time head on over to Cakeblast because Larry has got a surprise for all the 4M players. There’s a give-away! WOO HOO! I just found out not that long ago too. I told him he should’ve told me & I would’ve broadcast it on my blog too. Oh well. I did now. Good luck & hope you win! Huggles and we definitely have to teach Lori how to spell Princess Nagger! ~hehe~ Give that cutie a hug for me! Thanks for playin’ along, love the tune, and see ya next week my friend! Have a great musical week!
