(CLOSED) “The Lunar Antics Presents: Boy, I’d Hate to Be Made Out of That Stuff!” Comic Strip Book Review and Giveaway

When I was a kid, we didn’t have computers and the internet to monopolize our time – and no, unlike what Princess Nagger asked recently, it was not during the time of the dinosaurs.

How many of you physically get a Newspaper vs. reading your news online?  We haven’t gotten a newspaper in a very long time.  But when I was a kid, I looked forward to the Sunday paper because of the comics.  My fondest memories are reading the comics while my grandfather read the ‘grown up’ sections, and especially taking Silly Putty to my favorite comic strips and having them magically appear on the Silly Putty.

Now newspapers use better paper and better ink – so trying to use Silly Putty on a comic strip just doesn’t have the same affect they did.   Since we’re a family of technology and usually hang out on our computers together, I’m betting if I try to explain to Princess Nagger about the Silly Putty trick, she’d think I was crazy – or try to transfer a comic onto Silly Putty through her computer screen.

I still enjoy running across funny comics – like those I sometimes post for my Silly Saturday posts.  So when Robert Walters, the author of “The Lunar Antics^® Presents:  Boy, I’d Hate to Be Made Out of That Stuff!” asked me if I would like to review his book and host a giveaway, I was thrilled.  Not only did I enjoy reading it, but the hubby was hooked as well as Princess Nagger.

Definitely a fun book for everyone!  Hubby kept taking it to read it, then not putting it back, so I had to keep searching the latest hiding places to have a chance to read it myself.   It became a little game of hide’n’seek with the book, since we both wanted to have a chance for a giggle and a chuckle.  Now it’s your turn for a giggle and a chuckle:
