Wordless/Wordful Wednesday – Today’s My Birthday…a look back

Today is my birthday, so I’m going to party with my bloggy buddies today.  Since it’s also Wordless/Wordful Wednesday, here’s what I have for you today:

That’s me with my two sisters and brother.  Aren’t we cute?  Unfortunately it’s just a photocopy – literally – of the original portrait.  The original is in color, but one of my siblings made copies on a copy machine so we’d each have one.  Which explains why one of us is really washed out.

Since my mom lives 3000 miles away, I haven’t been able to get any of my baby/childhood pictures from her, mostly because I keep forgetting to ask when I talk to her on the phone.  She did give me a small stack of baby pictures of me a while ago, but those are buried in the attic somewhere – this was the only one that I had ‘handy’ that I could scan and show.

I remember the day well, my parents actually had a photographer come to our house to take this picture, and I believe it was right around my Birthday since it was going to be given out at Christmas.  It was a crazy day for sure, but as a kid, equally exciting!

Since today’s my Birthday, I’m having a special giveaway – but decided to do it in its own separate post to make it a little easier.  I’ll link to it in this post in the morning, but for now you should be able to see it on the same page just below this post.
