Since my brain is still processing the flurry of activity over the weekend and I still have pictures to upload, I’m going to change gears a little bit with this week’s RTT…  I don’t really have a stellar excuse for not having my thoughts randomly prepared for this week, but I think you’ll get a kick out of these ‘excuse’ notes  from parents (including original spelling) collected by schools from all over the country:

  1. My son is under a doctor’s care and should not take P.E. today. Please execute him.
  2. Please excuse Lisa for being absent. She was sick and I had her shot.
  3. Dear School: Please ekscuse John being absent on Jan. 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and also 33.
  4. Please excuse Gloria from Jim today. She is administrating.
  5. Please excuse Roland from P.E. for a few days. Yesterday he fell out of a tree and misplaced his hip.
  6. John has been absent because he had two teeth taken out of his face.
  7. Carlos was absent yesterday because he was playing football. He was hurt in the growing part.
  8. Megan could not come to school today because she has been bothered by very close veins.
  9. Chris will not be in school cus he has an acre in his side.
  10. Please excuse Ray Friday from school. He has very loose vowels.
  11. Please excuse Pedro from being absent yesterday. He had (diahre) (dyrea) (direathe) the shits. [words in ( )’s were crossed out.]
  12. Please excuse Tommy for being absent yesterday. He had diarrhea and his boots leak.
  13. Irving was absent yesterday because he missed his bust.
  14. Please excuse Jimmy for being. It was his father’s fault.
  15. I kept Billie home because she had to go Christmas shopping because I don’t know what size she wear.
  16. Please excuse Jennifer for missing school yesterday. We forgot to get the Sunday paper off the porch, and when we found it Monday, we thought it was Sunday.
  17. Sally won’t be in school a week from Friday. We have to attend her funeral.
  18. My daughter was absent yesterday because she was tired. She spent a weekend with the Marines.
  19. Please excuse Jason for being absent yesterday. He had a cold and could not breed well.
  20. Please excuse Mary for being absent yesterday. She was in bed with gramps.
  21. Gloria was absent yesterday as she was having a gangover.
  22. Please excuse Burma, she has been sick and under the doctor.
  23. Maryann was absent December 11-16, because she had a fever, sore throat, headache and upset stomach. Her sister was also sick, fever and sore throat, her brother had a low grade fever and ached all over. I wasn’t the best either, sore throat and fever. There must be something going around, her father even got hot last night.
  24. Please excuse little Jimmy for not being in school yesterday. His father is gone and I could not get him ready because I was in bed with the doctor.

  1. Very funny Can you imagine what notes the school does get?

One letter off and a whole new meaning. I like the last one. lol

  2. Hilarious! I loved #8, very close veins? Numbers 14, 16, and 24 are just a riot. Thanks for these today.

    Hugs!!

  3. Haha! I was controlling myself from laughing so hard. But they are really hilarious. I just hope that I won't be able to commit such funny mistakes when it's my time to write an excuse letter.

  4. These are so funny, kinda makes me wish I was back in school just so I could use some of them…lol

  5. "Please excuse Gloria from Jim today. She is administrating."

I bet Jim was relieved. There's nothing grosser than an administrating woman.

  6. It's almost impossible to believe that so many people could write these. They're preposterous and hilarious!

  7. OMG, scary when you think these are some of the people raising the next generation of kids!! Thanks for sharing!

  8. Funny! It made me want to double check the note I am sending in with my son this morning 🙂

  9. My favorite was the Gloria is administrating Jim one…. lordy, do I wish I could use that excuse to get out of all manner of things I don't want to do! 😉

  10. these excuses crack me up..the one where "Pedro had the shits" was the best:) .. and "Excuse Jim for being. it was his father's fault".. darn that's true:):)
And what's up with "Mary in bed with gramps" and "Burma under the doctor"??… boy these teenagers:P
Fun as always Stacy! Happy Random!

    *mine's up too:)

  11. those are amazing…lol. thanks or the hearty chuckle this morning! off to their funerl. please execute them…lol.

  12. Those are too funny!!!! I was absent so often that my mom would just call the attendance office and say "Hi, It's Audrey" and they would say "Oh, ok" 🙂

  13. Too funny! I hate it when I misplace my hip! And I think I'd be pretty tired too after a weekend with the Marines.
thanks for the great laugh 🙂

  14. Those are some doozies! And we wonder why the educational system is in shambles…. If this is what the parents are like their kids are doomed no mater how good the schools are.

    Funny stuff though.

    Happy RTT!!!

  15. First, I need you to stop promoting the elf giveaway. I want to win and every time someone else enters I have less of a chance :).

Those were really funny. Some of the letters demonstrate a serious lack of respect for education which explains why the kid was allowed to miss school for such a dumb reason.

  16. I always enjoy a good teacher note. I even kept a few from my days in the classroom. PB's dad used to write excuse notes in verse…

  17. They are all priceless, but #16 takes that cake!

There's a lot of dead children out their shot by their own parents.

    OMG – these are hilarious.

  18. OH my goodness! Reading these and all their misspellings, it made my day. You know I think a time or two I may have done that too, but not quite as bad as #17. Fantastic post!

  19. Love the ones "in bed with gramps" and "very close veins"! Hilarious! Kids say the darndest things!!
