I have always said I need to pick my battles carefully!

  3. I was going to say the same thing as April! Robert Louis Stevenson had a good quote. I must think of this quote every morning when I am getting the kids ready for school:)

    "Don't compromise yourself. You're all you've got."
    Janis Joplin

    😉

  7. If you don't like how things are, change it! You're not a tree.

Love that one and many of the others. Thanks for sharing!

    Stopped by from SITS!

  8. "If you surrender to the wind, you can ride it." Maya Angelou

That one is intriguing, because you can let a lot of different things (good and bad) represent the wind.

  9. Love so many of your quotes today.
    But I'll pick
If you surrender to the wind, you can ride it."
    Have a great QS Stacy

  10. Hi I just stopped by from SITS, and I'm glad that I did. Your quotes today were awesome and motivating. I hope you have a wonderful week.

  11. "Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak. Sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go."

I couldn't have said it better myself and Kozel's quote was also very true. I've had a really difficult ten years and a few things have been rearing their head lately but I'm finding the strength to let them go which is harder than the words can express.

Great quotes Stacy as always 🙂

  12. I didn't know you could ride the wind. Don't tell my kids, they'll bring out their umbrellas Poppins style.

  13. Oh, these are wonderful! I love Robert Louis Stevenson and I especially love this one today: "Toss your dashed hopes not into a trash bin but into a drawer where you are likely to rummage some bright morning."
    Robert Brault

    Have a great week!! 😀

  14. I need to stop blinking too! Time passes so fast! I love this quote by Robert Louis Stevenson:
"Anyone can carry his burden, however hard, until nightfall. Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day. Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all life really means."

But there were a bunch I loved!!
Hope you had a great weekend!

  15. Those are all wonderful quotes!

    Really they are.

But aren't there ANY good quotes about the goodness that is called sleep?

Sleep. Do it often, do it well.

Ack. I'll stop now! hee hee

  16. I particularly like the Jim Rohn quote, so true, things can always be change, with a bit of effort and firm decision-making.

  17. I love Maugham – and being Catholic, of course any words from any pope are of interest. Although some of the older ones, well, I wouldn't want to subscribe to some of their more personal iterations.

  18. So many great quotes! One of my favs – "Don't compromise yourself. You're all you've got."
    Janis Joplin
