As some of you know, our house was built in 1817…if the walls could talk, I’m sure they’d have plenty of stories to tell! The windows are huge, though you can’t tell from the pictures – but to give you an idea, each window is 7-1/2 feet tall and 3-1/2 feet wide. There are two in every room. They still contain the ripple glass from that era, save a few pieces that were broken or cracked over the years, replaced with ‘normal’ glass.
You are welcome to hang out by the bar we built – using 200 year old timbers for the bar top, and wainscoting from the Summer House. We even created a working hot/cold sink in the corner that is disguised as a bowl (note: the building/window you see out the window behind the bar is the Summer House out back about 20 feet from the house, aka the Summer Kitchen. I still need to take pictures of it to share, it’s where the original owners used to cook their meals in 1817 in the walk-in fireplace):
Or we have wine for those that prefer it…my wine fridge seems to be a little on the empty side…and in need of the door glass being cleaned:
Would you care to watch a movie? I have both VHS and DVD going back quite a number of years…

The DVD’s are mostly on the left, with a few stragglers on the right. The DVD’s aren’t actually organized, but the VHS are arranged alphabetically, starting on the bottom shelf under the DVD’s, and continuing on the shelves on the right. It took a while to alphabetize them, as on the bottom shelves they’re 3-deep, and 2-deep on the middle shelves. I know, I need serious, professional help!
I don’t have the requested picture of my bookshelf, as the Princess Nagger’s books have overtaken the available shelving. I keep my current books that I’m either reading or planning to read in my laptop backpack. The book that I’m currently reading is “The Time Traveler’s Wife”.
The book shelf I do keep to myself happens to be loaded with cookbooks. I love cookbooks and exploring all they have to offer. Particularly some of the antique ones – it’s interesting to read recipes from way back ‘when’, and see what differences there are in today’s cooking.

Mr. C wanted us to pick our two favorite cookbooks and pick some recipes out of them to serve you for dinner – but I forgot about that step, so we’ll just have to order take out for this visit. Next time, however, I’ll be happy to impress you with my culinary skills and whip up a fantastic 5-course meal upon your return visit.
Thank you for visiting my home – I hope you enjoyed your visit and will come back soon!

Love your house!! It's adorable!! And WOW! You have a ton 'o' cookbooks and movies!! =D
