“Doggy Salad”:

When Travis was in cone-head mode last week, in order for him to eat with that cone on his head, we had to put the food bowl on the floor so he could position the cone around its edges. At one point the Princess Nagger got creative and fixed him a ‘Doggy Salad’…she took the lid off the tin we keep the dog food in and set it on the back porch…then she filled it with dog food and placed the dog food bowl upside down directly in the middle…then ‘garnished’ it with tons of clover.

He ate around the clover, but did pick up a few clumps and run away with them like he was playing keep-away… 🙂

Tomorrow’s the big day! We head out on vacation to Louisiana…where it’s hotter than the hinges of hell and the humidity is stifling…but we’ll be in good company and plan to have lots of fun. I’ll be posting regularly randomly while we’re there, so I won’t be too far away from bloggyland… 😉 I might be a bit scarce in my visits for the next 2 weeks, but rest assured I’ll be by at some point and will be doing some major catching up when we get back. 🙂

  1. I was trying to figure out what you were doing from the little thumbnail on my dashboard. I thought maybe you were tempting your kid to eat from a bowl. Now I see that you are tempting a sick doggie. I hope your furry one gets well soon and can lose that bell.

  12. Doggy salad! How cute! 🙂 And, have a great time on vacation. And, you're right, here down south it is hotter than the shingles in hell.

    It was 95 degrees at 9pm the last two nights. Today it's supposed to get up to 101. Who knows where the heat index will be.

    And, I won't even get started on the humidity. Ugh!

  44. cute.. haha, my dog wouldn't touch that (the greens) if that's the last serving of food on earth… i was told that there are dogs that like to eat veggies and fruits, so i tried feeding it to my doggy but from that moment on, he made it very clear that he is a meat-only kind of a dog… 😀
