I’m keeping this short and sweet today since I have extremely limited internet connection that keeps disconnecting every minute or so… But I didn’t want to miss a week of Quotable Sunday, so this week’s quotes are of course about Vacation. When the boys get back from their manly-man errand runs, us girls are going to hit the coffee shop where there’s reliable internet connection so I’ll be able to stop by and participate! 🙂 Meanwhile, enjoy the quotes!
“A vacation frequently means that the family goes away for a rest, accompanied by a mother who sees that the others get it.”

“If you come home as happy as you leave, you have had a good vacation.”
“A vacation is having nothing to do and all day to do it in.”
“The ant is knowing and wise, but he doesn’t know enough to take a vacation”
“Those that say you can’t take it with you never saw a car packed for a vacation trip.”
“No one needs a vacation more than the person who just had one.”

I love the quote about needing a vacation AFTER a vacation – so true!! lol
Finally have a minute to sit down and blog surf. Though I am not getting any unpacking done 🙁 I've missed ya!
Great quotes… enjoy your coffee. I could use a cup of coffee!
I have been doing an outstanding job at doing nothing all day on my summer vacation!!!
I keep waiting for my hubby to scold me or something. But, I keep the fridge stocked with meat to grill!!!!!!
Hope you guys are having a great time!

I love vacations….
"The best part about a vacation is coming back home!"-otin
Hahaha
This: “A vacation frequently means that the family goes away for a rest, accompanied by a mother who sees that the others get it.”

is why I took my last vacation alone. Of course had my great niece most of the time but oh well. *g*
Hopefully next week the girls are old enough that we will really have a chance to chill in Cali.
I love the quote by Robert Orben the best. I just wish my husband would get that point! Each year as we travel the 5 1/2 hours to Mammoth Lakes California he is always racing, passing other cars and bitching about every driver on the road. We have A L L day to get there! So I sit there in my seat and pray for our safety.
Vacations come to seldom and are too short
LOL, those made me laugh because they're so true. My husband always insists on a buffer zone of a day or two after vacation before going back to work just to recover from vacation.
Love that first one by Marcelene Cox
because it's so true!
That last one is so very very true!
Glad you are having fun on vacation. It is true that you need a vacation from a vacation. Have a safe trip back home.
Yup, I always need a vacation from my vacation!
Hope you're enjoying your vacation. The last quote is so true, I came back from vacation a week ago today, I'm ready for another.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who feels like I need a vacation from my vacation. And, as a mother, was it truly even a vacation?
Hope you're having a great time!
Love this one:
“A vacation is having nothing to do and all day to do it in.”
Robert Orben
Love the quotes. I think Robert Orben said it best.
No this is my kind of quote
“A vacation is having nothing to do and all day to do it in.”
Robert Orben
Great list.
what is a vacation? we did go to the lake this weekend but I am longing for a week long beach vacation w/ maid service!
Cute pic – swimming is the best part of summer! I try to go every day. I need the sun to maintain some semblance of sanity. Wow – that was a lot of alliteration for a Monday morning.
That first one is so so so so so true! OMG, so true.
So true about Moms and vacations! When my Husband gets excited about going up north to his parents cottage, which he calls a vacation, I tell him, "What, it is like home…I am just taking care of the kids in a different geographical location!"
Wow, that sounded a bit bitter:)
vacations are best spent with moms… very true that moms play a vital part during vacations.. whenever we went away for a vacation, my mom would oversee everything, and i do mean everything… everybody is sure to have good time and most importantly nobody misses a meal… 🙂
I REAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY want a vacation sans kids but that's not possible. Any ideas?
Vacations Rock! Mine is coming up!
