It’s been a while since my last ‘official’ Fitness Friday post…like mid-March. You know how you start something and you have a great momentum going and then you hiccup and your momentum gets derailed? Yeah, well I hiccuped. A lot.

When I first started doing the WiiFit Challenge, I was on a roll – hitting that WiiFit just about every day with only a minor set back now and again. Then it was weekdays only, as I realized that with Hovering Hubby and Princess Nagger underfoot all the time on the weekends, my WiiFit and I were going to have to save our special moments to the weekdays when Hovering Hubby is at work and Princess Nagger is in school.

Then my 5-days-a-week momentum slowed down to 3 days a week as things kept coming up and interruptions abounded. And then I hiccuped. I didn’t pull out the WiiFit for a solid week. That week turned into two, and the landslide began. My romance with the WiiFit came to a screeching halt.

The bad news is my neglect of the WiiFit cost me 5 pounds…the good news is having started back up late last week and realizing that 3 days a week is much better than no days a week, I was able to get rid of 2 of those pesky 5 pounds. So I’m back on track for the most part and determined not to hiccup again in the future – or at least not enough to gather dust on the WiiFit again.

I am really looking forward to when the EA Sports Active is released – I’m hoping I can sweet talk hubby into buying it for me (wish me luck) so I can have some added variance to make my workouts even more fun and do some extra good. From what I’m hearing, it’s phenomenal – I need phenomenal right about now… 🙂 I can get distracted by bright shiny objects, so if something is starting to be the ‘same old same old’ every time, I get bored with it and move on to something else.

I think that was part of my initial hiccup reaction – I wanted/needed more than the same old same old…apparently EA Sports had that figured out, hence the development of the game that I’m anxious to try out. May 19th can’t get here fast enough if you ask me! 🙂

If you have a Wii and want to join in the fun, please do! You won’t be sorry…it’s great to have such a fun support group at the Wii Mommies Forum. There are some great parties and giveaways coming up that you won’t want to miss!

Until next week – have fun on your Wii Workouts and don’t forget to sign Mr. Linky with your weekly Wii Fitness Adventure Posts! 🙂

  7. Hi, I don’t think I’ve visited you before. I am glad that you are back on track. I think this fitness thing has to be a regular habit. I have heard so many that loose tons of weight and then they gain it back double time. Yikes! I don’t want to do that. I want to loose my weight slowly and healthily. 🙂 Have a great TGIF!
