This week I decided to combine Wordless and Wordful Wednesday into one post…you’ll see why in a minute, based on the pictures below. You see, the Princess Nagger was busy drawing – and when I went into the living room, she had these three drawings taped strategically in different spots…I never did find out what prompted her to draw them, but it’s possibly because her friend from school that had brain surgery recently is constantly on her mind…she keeps asking when she’ll be back, but I haven’t gotten any updates (aside from the fact that the surgery went very well). So…um…enjoy! 😉
I think this was her first attempt…the ‘person’ looks a bit agitated, don’t you think? 😉
This ‘person’ doesn’t look all that happy having their brain pointed out – see the arrow pointing specifically to the brain?
And apparently, this is the ‘close up’ of ‘The Brain’…
And apparently, this is the ‘close up’ of ‘The Brain’…
PN: “I had just enough tape to hang them up, Mama! You might want to get some more so I can hang more drawings up. Tonight I decided to investigate the brain.”
So there ya go…little bit of Wordless, little bit of Wordful… I was pretty much rendered speechless… 🙂

Haha! What got her so interested in the brain? Magic School Bus? The kids I nanny for get obsessed w/ the topics in the magic school bus books. Although the 4 yr old always mispronounces the words. Like yesterday he was eating and said the food was going through is Mount Tessna (small intestines)…so cute.
Love the brain drawings! Just so ya know!
I’m thinking she has a pretty big brain to be researching one so thoroughly. Heh!

Investigating the brain huh? I might have thought this was weird for a little girl, but when I was not even 10 I told everyone I wanted to be a Forensic Pathologist. I never became one, but I am still greatly interested in forensics. Maybe she has an interest in this sort of thing too.
Happy WW!

Awww… the poor kid is worried about her friend and she’s expressing it through art. That is wonderful!
Okay, two questions.
1) What is the advantage you find by using this JS-Kit thingy?
2) How do you get those “you might also enjoy these” at the end of your posts?
Justine 😮 )
Love those drawings, too. My daughter is currently drawing dinosaurs that look more like donkeys. 🙂
Yes, be sure to get more tape momma!!
My kids like to hang up everything they make.
Cute Cute!
What a sweet girl to be worried about her friend! Get the tape ready….
She’s not far off, for some of us….. 🙂

Your daughter is such a sweetie and to be thinking of her friend, what a doll. Has she seen this friend since the surgery? It might be good for her to see her or talk to her on the phone to ease her worries.

How sweet that she’s worried about her friend! There is a very informative book for children about the brain that she might like to check out. My daughter just happened to choose it as her library book last week.
The Brain: Our Nervous System by Seymour Simon
It’s aimed at kids and very understandable/informative for both parents and children.
Recent blog post: Nothing Sweeter!
Wow…I’m simply amazed. It is so incredibly cool how kids process things like this…you just know its swimming around in their heads.

Ha! Brain looks like a pepperoni pizza. 😛
I think it’s great she’s showing concern for her classmate – she’s really anxious for her to come back to school – smarter and with a new hair cut. 😉
The only advantage I find by using the JS-Kit thingy is that I can reply directly to the comments so the person who commented will get an email with my reply – so if they have a question or are interested in my reply, they get one directly without having to come back and find the replies buried. The jury is still out on JS-Kits, though, because I just noticed today that a TON of comments from earlier posts have gone missing. So there’s obviously still some tweaking on their end that needs to be done. That, and they haven’t integrated completely, which means that they haven’t linked the Blogger links so I can’t just click on someone’s name to get to their blog – they have to make sure their blog URL is input into the comment or in the initial information to trigger ‘Comment Luv’ which is separate (but works with) JS-Kits. I like to visit the blogs of my visitors and return the comment favor, but can’t if I don’t have a link to find them… 🙂
The ‘you might also enjoy these’ are from http://www.linkwithin.com – it’s super easy to add to Blogger so it’ll automatically add the links at the end of your post… 🙂
Hope I answered your questions – let me know if you need more info…and thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂

Awww! Thanks, Amber! No, she hasn’t seen her classmate since the surgery – the parents are keeping a low profile – I have a call into Princess Nagger’s teacher to find out more info and see if they’re making/sending get well cards at least. Thanks a bunch for stopping by, Amber! 🙂
