It’s Monday! You know what that means, don’t you? Time for the
Not Me Monday Carnival! After you’re done reading what I absolutely did
not do, head on over to
MckMamma’s, she’s guaranteed to make you laugh – or at least feel better about
your week. This is too much fun
not to participate in! ๐
I did not have to put the Princess Nagger in a time out because she was not copping an attitude about not eating her dinner, and I did not have to send her to bed without said dinner because she was not throwing a major temper tantrum for the first time in ages…nope, not me!
I did
not carry her kicking and screaming up the stairs, and I did
not trip over a small stool she did
not leave at the top of the stairs which did
not cause me to lose my grip drop her on the floor.
I did not then cuddle with her for an hour, because I did not feel rotten about dropping her…nope, not me!
I did not get a huge bruise on my shin from tripping over the stool that was not at the top of the stairs.
I was not mortified when the Princess Nagger came home from school the next day and told me that she did not raise her hand in class and tell the whole class about me not dropping her on the floor the night before.
I did not polish off the cookie dough chunks in what was left of the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and did not act all innocent when Princess Nagger couldn’t find any dough when I did not let her finish off the rest of the ice cream straight out of the carton.
I did not forget and leave hubby’s clothes in the dryer for 2 days, and did not spritz his shirts with Febreeze so the wrinkles would ‘fall’ out, thereby avoiding having to iron them…nope, not me!
Now you know a few of my little things that I did not do. Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you did not do either. ๐
you’re too funny. and wow i remember those days of tantrums and such… im so glad they’re all (mostly) behind me now. not that 24 year olds dont occasionally throw tantrums… its just i dont have to drag them kicking and screaming off to time out any more :). happy first monday of march!
I did not not fold 3 baskets of laundry this weekend. So if that’s a double negative, making a positive, why are they still looking at me unfolded?
Happy Not Me Monday!
Why do kids have no filters? I hate to think what they tell about us over the years without realizing what they’re telling.
I would never pick the best bits out of the ice cream either and then feign innocence. Good job!
OMG, too funny that you not only dropped her but that she told her class!!!!!!! Heeheeheeeeeeeee!
Febreeze on his clothes? Did you mean Down Wrinkle Releaser? I hope so! LOL
Justine ๐ฎ )
Truly awesome. Thanks for reminding me that we are all in this crazy thing called motherhood together! Happy Monday!
Hee hee…you snuggled her and she still ratted you out in school!
I will have to remember that Febreeze trick…
Sorry about the fall and the bruise you DID NOT do and DO NOT have.
Can Febreeze really do such magical things? I need to find some NOT that I ever forget clothing in the dryer. ๐
funny!
i came by to grab your button for my sidebar!
We eat cookie dough ice cream the same way! I always get mad when I run out of chunks…
Hahaha… doesnt surprise me that Princess told the class… Mine do the same thing! I did Not me Monday over on my blog too! Happy MOnday!
Kids have no idea how horrifying it is for Mom when the spill ‘secret family business’ ๐
Happy Monday.
ooooh, bad mommy!!!!!!!! Just kidding, been there, done that……
So…. no “not me’s” today. I have to be good and clean the house and do laundry cuz I’ve been “not meeing” now for about 2 straight weeks.
Kim is coming home on the 19th for 5 days so it’ time to buckle down, get the taxes done, artificial Christmas tree back down to the basement and 3 month old toilet rings scrubbed out.
I love that the Princess ratted you out. Once you have kids you can’t get away with anything. DARN!
pretty much have REWASHED clothes because the laundry fairy forgot to do a dry-by. (ha ha, get it?) and the clothes were SOOOOO beyond febrese or wrinkle spritzing that i had to flippin redo it.
ohhhhh. laundry. it’s the bane of my existance. and i WORK FROM HOME, right next to the stinking laundry!!
and i am sorry you dropped your child and missed a discipline moment. but i’m thankful that you’re the kind of mommy that hugs and snuggles when she’s frustrated (and probably smarting from and ouchy shin injury!). that is a good mommy.
have a blessed week!
Ah, the dinner fight. We have been having that at our house recently too, I wonder if it is contagious. Great not-me’s.
Although I am sure that it was tramatic for you, I LOVED the story about you, your daughter, and a temper tauntrum. The same thing happened in my house last week. While trying to get my daughter upstairs so that she could calm down, she pulled away from me and I landed on the gate to our stairs.
Not only do I lovely bruises up and down my side, but I also broke the gate in three places!
Ugh.

Great list! Hope you have a great week!
Great list! Hope you have a great week!
Thanks for stopping by!
I did NOT fix my tiny daughter’s top knot in the Dentist office last week. He did NOT walk in to find her squirming off my lap while I was trying to do the last few twists in the rubber band and did NOT think that I was grabbing my baby by her hair. However, we did NOT laugh and joke about it afterwards.
Whoops! That was NOT my crazy alter-ego commenting under another alias ;D
I would NEVER eat all the chunks out of the ice cream and leave the cream part either because I do not love the chunks the best! ๐
Awww, your bruise on your shin is a mommy battle scar. Kids are so honest…sometimes too honest. ๐ Gotta love the tantrums.
that was too good and loved the idea of the disappearing cookie bites in the icecream LOL
LOL too funny!
I got myself cup of coffee since I missed so much on your blog yesterday! Here to stay for a while LOL
LOL in todays society, you should be glad she didn’t call Child Protective Services. And you certainly aren’t the only mom to ever not drop your child. Mine could tell some tales!
I did NOT eat a hotdog for breakfast this morning…
I also have not had to put my daughter in time out for pitching a fit about not wanting to eat dinner! I’ve also had to haul her up the stairs to her room but thankfully I did not drop her ๐ Nothing like dropping your kid on the floor to make you forget about being mad at them!
Oh shut up that was TOO funny!!! I love that she did NOT raise her hand and tell her class!
cookie dough chunks! nom nom nom you’re speaking my language ๐
carma
I too am going to have to remember the Febreeze trick. That’s a good one. I have actually left clothes in the washer for days. And too bad about the dropping incident! Ha. She’s still alive though!
I saw your comments at Nut in a Nutshell and I had to come over and say hi. Your name is so funny : ). Which small town in Pa do you live in? I live in Souderton in a Philadelphia suburb. I love our state. I do NOT love the snow we are getting right now though…not at all. Hope you have a wonderful day : ). God bless.
Oh my gosh!!!! Lol!
Youch, poor you (for getting bruised) and poor PN for getting dropped! When my kid is in full-blown tantrum mode, I have to step away since he falls into me and if I don’t stand clear, he usually bounces off of me and gets hurt. Where do they learn this stuff? Sesame Street? Elmo is a spaz, I blame him.
I would have snuggled her for an hour too. I too leave clothes in the dryer for days at a time. Sometimes I only remember they are there because someone is “missing” something.
Stacy, those were great. I can so see her telling the entire class. Thats something Taylor would do and CPS would be on our doorstep. LOL
Love and Prayers,
Tim
I’m so guilty of leaving clothes in the dryer for days on end, but I just tumble press the wrinkles out. Don’t feel too bad about NOT dropping princes, kids her age are made of rubber, they bounce right back.
I so can not relate to any of this list! Happy Monday!
Hey, everyone drops a kid from time to time, no? ๐
That was hilarious!
Oh my goodness… that sooo just put a smile on my face =)
LOL Annie!s I was worried about the teenage years down the road…but now I have to worry about the 20’s, too? LOL! ๐
LOL! The thing I think I’d be more worried about is them looking at you… ๐
LOL Elizabeth!s It makes me wonder what the Princess Nagger tells her class on any given day…I’m surprised that she told me about ratting me out for dropping her on the floor.s She even demonstrated how she raised her hand and everything… ๐
s
Glad to hear you don’t pick the best bits out of the ice cream and feign innocence, either… ๐
LOL!s Thanks, Petra!s It is nice to know we’re not alone, isn’t it? ๐
Yeah, I know – guess the snuggle time didn’t erase the trauma for the Drama Queen…(grin!!)s
s
The Febreeze trick totally works! ๐
Awwww!s Thanks so much! ๐
That’s probably how they came up with the ‘Kids Say the Darndest Things’ show…heh, heh! ๐
Yep, you definitely can’t get away with anything with kids around…well, you could when they didn’t know how to talk, but once that happens, look out.s That and reading…can’t fake ’em out when they know how to read, either… ๐
s
Getting all ready for Kim’s return home? ๐
LOL!s Oh, I’ve been there, too – it’s really bad in the summer time when the upstairs bathroom (where we brilliantly decided to put our washer and dryer for easy access to dressers) tends to be the HOTTEST room in the house during the summer months since it gets the afternoon sun.s Leaving laundry in the washing machine all day will likely warrant a double wash aftewards.s Luckily it’s usually hubby’s clothes I forget vs. mine and Princess Nagger’s… (snicker!)
s
Thanks for stopping by – and for your kind words! ๐
I think it must be a rite of passage to have the dinner fights…everyone I know has gone through them or is going through them.s Don’t know what it is in particular about ‘dinner’ that gets her all up in arms…no problem with breakfast and lunch… ๐
Oh, OUCH!s It’s so nice to know you’re not alone, isn’t it?s I’ve broken 2 gates myself by falling on them or dropping something on them…heh, heh! ๐ s Hope your bruises go away soon! ๐
Alter ego’s are a great thing… I have a SassyDesigns one, too! ๐
