It’s Monday! You know what that means, don’t you? Time for the Not Me Monday Carnival! After you’re done reading what I absolutely did not do, head on over to MckMamma’s, she’s guaranteed to make you laugh – or at least feel better about your week. This is too much fun not to participate in! π
I did not forget to buy my hubby a Valentine’s Day card, and did not realize I bought one last year I forgot to give him, so I did not dig that one up and give it to him instead…nope, not me!
I did not let the Princess Nagger eat excessive amounts of Valentine’s Candy on Saturday because that would be so wrong…nope, not me!
I did not wait to buy chocolate for my hubby for Valentine’s Day until Friday when they were on sale, because I always plan way ahead for these Hallmark Holidays.
I did not feed my family cold cereal for dinner last night because I was too busy blogging to take a break and cook dinner…nope, not me!
I did not get irritated this morning when Hovering Hubby decided at the last minute he’s taking the day off…I did not get annoyed that it will not infringe on my ‘Me’ time and totally interrupt my schedule…nope, not me!
Now you know a few of my little things that I did not do. Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you did not do either. π
I did not laugh that you are bummed about a day off with hubby….ok maybe a little!
I did not let Big Brother eat tons of Valentine’s Day candy either.
LOL! I know what you mean about “Not getting annoyed” about DH being home.
I did not get the worst migraine of my life on Saturday and sleep the day away, nope not me.
I guess you were thinking of the Bangles when you left your comment on BMB. LOL!
I am NOT watching Spongebob Squarepants for 10 straight hours today because there is no school and my 5 year old is home all day!!
I’m so glad you did NOT get irritated that HH is taking today off. LOL
@nikkicrumpet: LOL! Got any more of those shortbread cookies and heart cupcakes left? I could always ‘escape’ and come hang out with you…(snicker!)
@Upstatemomof3: Oh, I’m so glad I’m not the only one that did NOT do that! π
@Elle: Ooooh, hope your NOT migraine is much better! π
And yeah – guess I’m thinking of the Bangles since I’m having a Manic Monday with Hovering Hubby home! LOL!!! π
@Lady Bug: LOL! 10 hours straight of Sponge Bob would drive me insane…I’m NOT glad that Princess Nagger had a ‘snow makeup day’ today instead of the previously scheduled day off… π
@Aubrey: Yeah, me too…so glad there was NO irritation…(snicker!)
LOL so Hubby is home π I’m glad mine decided to go to work today LOL otherwise I would NOT be stressed all day LOL
Wow, I am so glad I have an anti-Spongebob girl. Instead I have not watched endless hours of Hannah, with endless more to come during this week’s vaction. I so do not wish we had snow makeup days here in Georgia.
I never feed my family cold cereal either. Nope, never ever π
@Firefly: Yes, Mr. Hovering Interruptus every 5 minutes is home…LOL! I am NOT looking forward to waving ‘bye to him as he leaves for work tomorrow… π
@Tricia: You’re lucky – Spongebob can get REAL annoying… π A whole week off? I’m NOT glad that Princess Nagger’s school sprinkles their ‘teacher inservice’ days to give the kids days off several times a month rather than a whole week in a row… π
@Kat: LOL Kat! Yep, it’s NOT quick and easy… π
In my opinion, cereal makes an EXCELLENT meal…especially if they get it themselves. And in particular if they make you a bowl, too.
@Jenni Jiggety: Ooooh! I like the way you think, Jenni! LOL!! π
I did NOT have a little toooo much to drink on v-day and fall asleep!!!
Love what you did not do… I just posted mine! And I agree with Jenni… cereal is a fine meal… and it is even better when they get it themselves! Yea!
love it. love the cereal. except I give the cereal too much. I am vowing to cook…
Loved the Not Me’s! I kept letting my kids have “just one more piece” of Valentine’s candy…because if they eat it I won’t! I also have a hard time when my hubby stays home. Messes up my blogging…I mean cleaning…schedule π
Cereal for dinner = brinner! Everyone loves brinner!
funny will had way to much and I was at godiva on friday too!
@Heather: LOL Heather! That actually sounds like a nice Valentine’s Day… π
@Jenn@mylifewiththecrazies: LOL Jenn! Yes, I agree with Jenni – she’s got the perfect scenario…I need to get that working in my house, too! π I enjoyed your ‘Not Me!’ list, too! π
@Courtney from mommie blogs: Can you give cereal too much? I hope not, ‘cuz it can be a big ‘staple’ at our house sometimes…(grin!!)
@Staci: Love it! You had the same thought I did – let the Princess Nagger eat ‘one more piece’ so I wouldn’t…(grin!!) Oh, definitely having hubby home messes up the blogging…er, um, cleaning schedule something fierce! π
@LiLu: LOL! Love it, LiLu! I can add that to the ‘brunchfast’ Princess Nagger likes to call breakfast and brunch together – though I still haven’t convinced her they’re technically the same… π
@Kristen Andrews: LOL Kristen! Nothing beats getting Valentine’s Day chocolates on sale the day before Valentine’s Day…I was able get way more to really look like I splurged on my honey…(grin!!)
I would have waited until Friday too if I’d known it went on sale then. I thought it was only the day after. Darn!
I DO NOT identify with any of those, nope not me.
Ha! Every time my husband is off from work it seems I barely get anything done, not to mention he needs all that attention which takes away from the blog, I mean, me time. π Happy Monday.
Naughty, Naughty!!!
I did not eat all my childrens sees candies that my sister sent for them either!!!
Sometimes cereal for dinner is the best!
Cold cereal is a perfectly well balanced meal! And you were just being frugal with the candy. Nothing wrong with that.
I AM jealous that you got to spend a day with the hubs.
Ok, I’m with you on the cereal…
and candy.
Sounds like your Vday was pretty close to mine… not alotta sparks… can we jump back to our early 20s and celebrate them like we used to???
Love the new banner.
That is so funny! I have done the cereal for dinner thing since beginning blogging too!! LOL!
I’m guilty of the cold cereal for dinner trick myself. LOL!
*hee hee* I think I did NOT do a lot of those things, too (I’m not tellin’, though!) I think there have been nights when I’ve resorted to cold cereal for dinner as well–oh well–it’s vitamin enriched, right?
Too funny! Good thing you didn’t do any of those things heehee
@blueviolet: You know what’s really funny is that I didn’t realize until Friday morning that I hadn’t already bought a stash of chocolate for the hubby – I’m running out of hiding places that the Princess Nagger hasn’t discovered yet, so I put it off…I was just glad that I remembered in time! LOL!! And finding them on sale was a bonus! π
@Jennifer: LOL Jennifer! Glad you do NOT identify with ’em… π
@mrsbear: LOL! So true, Mrs. Bear – so very true! π What is it with hubby’s needing attention when they’re hanging around? Don’t they realize we have blogger – I mean better – things to do? π
@Minxy Mimi: LOL Mimi! π Mmmmm….Sees candies… I took ONE little heart off the table the Princess Nagger had spread out…and she KNEW! She wasn’t happy…(snicker!)
@Yaya: I couldn’t agree with you more! π
@Debbie: LOL Debbie! I love the way you think! π
@vsm/whirling dirvish photography: LOL! I’ve often said it would be great to have everything exactly as it is right now, with the hubby and Princess Nagger, but turn the clock back 20 years…how sweet would that be? π
@Bee and Rose: Advertisement for the Blogging World: Cereal – it’s not just for breakfast anymore! π LOL!!
@Chris: LOL! Sounds like a lot of us do that… π
@Nicole: YES! That’s exactly what I thought, too – it’s fortified with vitamins, so it’s gotta be healthy! π
@Frogs in my formula: LOL! Oh yes, it’s a very good thing I didn’t do those things…(grin!!)
These were hysterical!!!
I hate when anything interfers with my blog time!
Smart move with the leftover card. We recently moved our office to the other side of the house and my husband was cleaning out his desk drawers pitching all sorts of old (to me, sentimental) cards like they were nothing. It was then that I decided he’s never getting another card from me!
He logged into work this morning and all was quiet for about an hour until he realized that he had the day off and didn’t know it. Hence, it’s 11PM and I’m just now getting to blogging since it’s impossible with him home (I love him being here, don’t get me wrong).
I love “hovering hubby”…I’ve had those moments….
@Dawn: Thanks, Dawn! Yes, it is annoying when anything interferes with blog time…LOL! π
@Casey: LOL Casey! Yep, I’ve been there, too – which is why I haven’t made it a ‘priority’ to buy cards for the hubby – they just end up getting tossed…and he’s really bad about getting cards for me. Of course the one year I decided not to get him one (because I hadn’t been getting any) that year he bought me 2 or 3! So now I make sure to get him at least one…even if it’s sort of a ‘leftover’ one… π I love having hubby here, except when it’s ‘unplanned’ – yesterday’s last minute decision threw all my mental plans out the door… π
@The Blonde Duck: LOL! Glad to know I’m not the only one… π
I tried to feed my fam cold cereal for dinner the other night! No dice-my kids organised an uprising and fed us all pretzels, apples, milk, graham crackers and cheese. Those sassies have such high standards-lol!
