I saw this over at Robin’s Blog “Cinnamon & Honey“

There’s a fun meme floating around Facebook called “Make Your Own Album Cover.” My very own album? Of course I had to give this one a try! Here’s how it works:

1. Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random.” The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2. Go to Random Quotations. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3. Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days.” The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4. Use PhotoShop or a similar program to put it all together.

For those who are curious, my band name, Tahpanhes (also transliterated Tahapanes or Tehaphnehes; known by the Ancient Greeks as Daphnae, now Tell Defenneh) was a city in Ancient Egypt. It was located on Lake Manzala on the Tanitic branch of the Nile, about 16 miles from Pelusium. The site is now on the Suez Canal.

The Album Title is taken from this quote:

  12. So cool! I’m doing this for my post on Monday! I love the ones I’ve seen — some of them really look like real album covers. Yours is one of the best I think — I think a lot of men would buy this album without listening to it! And I love that you put in the quote source and explained the bad name — I didn’t think to do that but I did make up my own review of the album. It was so fun!
