Since I tend to have trouble keeping words to a minimum, I thought it’d be fun to do both Wordless Wednesday and join in the fun for Wordful Wednesday, too! π
We were hoping to get some of this:
The Princess Nagger had a ‘Snow Day’ today – more like an ‘Ice Day’. She wasn’t able to play in what little bit of snow actually fell before the sleet/freezing rain encased it in ice. The pretty powdery snow looked like white frosting sealed with plastic wrap. And of course now as the afternoon wears on, what’s falling from the sky is borderline rain/freezing rain. Non-conducive for playing outside. On the flip side, the puppy has been following Princess Nagger around exclusively, so I haven’t had to deal with him launching himself on my head… (snicker!)
Now, I’m off to see what everyone else has posted at this week’s Wordful Wednesday hosted by Angie at 7 Clown Circus!
Need the snow…we have extra. Hit up an ad for ya!
Check out my post with a double flip
I’m jealous of the ice, we saw snow this year. It only happens maybe every 7 years! lol
Cute pictures π The kiddos sure love the snow!
Katie was so excited to play in the snow when we got here–unfortunately, it is all iced over, too. She keeps asking me to make snow angels–no can do…
Snow angels rock my socks off! I loved making those when we lived back east! We desert folk make dirt angels..lol! I was so happy it was chilly here today in AZ (60 degrees) which feels like 20 to us! I layered on a tee and sweater and whooped it up! Woo hoo! Cold day!
Great pictures from last year. Frozen rain is beautiful…..but not good for anything else. π
sorry to tell u this but we got more snow today I have had enough of it!
I just want it to either be winter or spring this fluctuation crap needs to end! I wish I could dress up in all pink and throw snowballs! Too cute!
Oh my goodness. I have been seeing many other bloggers with similar stories. That ice is something else! The only thing it’s good for is keeping my sweet tea cold!
Stay warm!
So, did you get any? Did she get to play in the snow because we have plenty here to play in. You can have all you want
LOL< love her pink outfit and I hope you get that snow!
@Doublebanker: LOL! Feel free to send on any extra you don’t need… π Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@Marshmallow Circus: Only every 7 years? I don’t feel so bad, now… π Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@Nicole: The kiddos sure do love the snow, don’t they? Awww, poor Katie! I really is hard – rather, impossible – to make a snow angel in snow that’s been encased in ice… Even our big dog was having trouble walking around – he’d be tip-toeing on top of the ice, then hit a soft spot and his foot would sink in… of course those moments would scare him ‘cuz he’s kind of a wuss…(snicker!) Thanks a bunch for stopping by, Nicole! π
@Bee and Rose: Dirt angels! LOL! Love it! π If I lived in a generally warm state – like Arizona – I’d be whooping it up for a 60 degree day, too! π Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@angie: Thanks, Angie! π You’re right…frozen rain is beautiful…but worthless! π Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@Kristen Andrews: Ack, you’re killin’ me, Kristen! (grin!) Mother Nature obviously not mixed up…NO snow for those that already have it, YES snow for those that haven’t gotten much… π Maybe if you come here, you’ll bring the snow with you…then you can just leave it here… π Thanks a bunch for stopping by! π

@vsm/whirling dirvish photography: I think that’s my biggest beef with Mother Nature this year – she can’t make up her mind! Right before Christmas, we were getting Spring-like weather…it kept getting really warm and balmy, then really cold and freezing…enough already, just choose! π It would be fun to dress up all in pink and throw snowballs, wouldn’t it? (grin!) Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@Aubrey: I’m finally getting to make my rounds and am seeing the same thing – it’s amazing how many people are getting hit with ice…it’s nuts this year! You’re right – it’s great for keeping your sweet tea cold! LOL!!! Thanks so much for stopping by, Aubrey! π
@Elle: No…(grumble, grumble). Well, actually the inch we got yesterday she did get to play in after she got home from school…she was trying to make a tiny snowman and have him slide down her slide, but he kept falling apart…(snicker!) You have plenty to play in, huh? Alrighty then, we’ll be over! π Thanks a bunch for stopping by, Elle! π

@Minxy Mimi: My favorite part of her outfit is that funky hat…I LOVE it! When it’s too small for her, it’s going in her keepsake box… π I sure hope we get at least ONE day of GOOD snow instead of this icey crud…the pictures from last year are from the ONE day we got GOOD snow…(smile!) Thanks so much for stopping by, Mimi! π
We got lots of snow and now we are just getting freezing rain. Blech.
@Jenni Jiggety: Blech is right! I wish it wouldn’t switch over…just stay snow. Besides, when it changes to freezing rain, it’s harder to shovel – so you’re kinda SOL if you weren’t shoveling while it was snowing… π Thanks so much for stopping by, Jenni! π
We had a little today, will probably get more tomorrow and over the weekend π can I send you some please, I had it with this LOL
Send her over to my house…she could wallow in that crappy white stuff to her hearts content lol. If it snows any more we’re going to need to be rescued!
I hate ice. The light powdery snow is a lot more fun and easier to drive in.
I want a hat like hers!! We got snow, then a lot of ice, then snow again. We do not see much snow either, so it is a huge deal when we do get it.
Ice storms are the worst! You can’t do anything fun!
I love the close shot of the branches! Very artsy!
Well, at least she got a day off of school. I remember how magical that felt and I was always happy for my kids when they got snow days too! It’s the best!
Ok, I seriously need to get a pink little hat like the one Princess Nagger is wearing in the snow pictures! Although I don’t think it’s going to look as cute on me.
This winter has been SO COLD here that the kiddos I nanny for barely get out to play.
@Firefly: Oh, you poor thing! You’ve been getting more than enough this year, haven’t you? Yes, please do feel free to send some our way – then it’ll be a win/win for both of us! (grin!!) Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@nikkicrumpet: LOL! OK, Nikki – I’ll send her right over…then you can have a great laugh with her wallowing in the crappy white stuff…(snicker!) Let me know if you need to be rescued – you can come hang out here in little-or-no snow land…(grin!!) Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@Chris: I’m with you there, Chris – I hate ice…it makes for very messy driving, and you can’t play in it… Light powdery snow is not only pretty, but oh so much fun to play in! And you can drive much easier in it… π Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@Jennifer: LOL Jennifer! It’s a great hat, isn’t it? π That’s what we got – some snow, then a lot of ice, then snow, then rain…what a mess! I’d so much rather have ALL snow…and yes, since it doesn’t happen all that often, it is a big deal when we do get any ‘good’ snow! π Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@Robin: Ice storms are definitely the worst…they wreak havoc on everything and everyone! Thanks for the compliment…I was trying to go for ‘artsy’…glad it worked! π Thanks so much for stopping by, Robin! π
@blueviolet: Absolutely, Elizabeth – she was very happy to have a day off school – though just a little miffed that it ‘robs’ her of one of her ‘Star of the Week’ days…*grin!* But she had a blast playing with the puppy all day, so it was good! π I think I was just as excited as she was to find out school was closed today… π Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@Just A Mom: ROTFLMAO! I can just picture you in a hat like that…it would look hilarious – but you could probably pull it off and be chic! π Thanks so much for stopping by (and for the laugh! *grin!*)
@Yaya: It’s been a weird winter for sure – when it’s warm enough to be outside, it’s raining… At least the Princess Nagger did get to try to build a mini snowman with the inch of snow we got yesterday before the freezing rain showed up – she was trying to make one to slide down her slide…it was hilarious! π Hopefully the weather will cooperate so your nanny kids will be able to expend some energy outside! π Thanks so much for stopping by! π
I wish we would get some snow around here! Haha. I don’t think my daughter has even really seen snow. Just a little bit falling from the sky, but never on the ground.
@jenn: While it’s very pretty falling from the sky, it’s way cool to have it on the ground at the same time… π Well, at least I think so – some people who have been inundated with it this year would probably disagree with me…(grin!) Thanks so much for stopping by, Jenn! Here’s hoping you’ll get some snow at some point – just enough to ‘wow’ your daughter! π
The pics of your Princess last winter are darling-she looks like a sweet frosted cupcake! I love the pic of the branches covered in ice. Your yard today reminds me of mine, with pots covered with snow just waiting for springtime!
That snow is beautiful. I wouldn’t want to deal with ice, though. Out here we’ve been enjoying the sunshine and temps in the upper fifties. I think it is supposed to hit 62 this afternoon. I sure miss the snow sometimes, though. I used to live out in Wisconsin. My family has said that they have a lot of snow right now.
I would be happy to share some of our snow with you. It is only January and I have had enough (sigh).
@Shangrila: Awww, thanks, Shangrila! She does look like a sweet frosted cupcake, doesn’t she? She’ll get a kick out of hearing that…(grin!) The ice on the branches always look so wonderfully artistic, don’t they? That’s funny that you have pots covered with snow waiting for springtime! π Thank you so much for stopping by! π
@Cascia: Snow is definitely beautiful – and I’d much rather have that than ice any day! Wow, you are having balmy temperatures, aren’t you? I have a friend who lives in Wisconsin – they apparently do have a ton of snow…I told her to share and send some my way, but she hasn’t done so yet…(grin!!) Thanks so much for stopping by! π
@anne: Mother Nature sure isn’t cooperating, is she? She keeps inundating people with snow that have had enough and want to be done with it, and hasn’t spread snowy love to other parts of the country that usually get it…it’s been a bazaar weather year, that’s for sure! I’d take it off your hands if I could…sorry you’re getting tired of it – I’m sure I would be, too, if we had been getting any good snow… π Thanks so much for stopping by! π
