Is it just me, or are the weeks flying by way too fast? OK, it’s just me… π So this week has been an interesting week to be sure… Monday I didn’t have a chance to work out on my WiiFit because I was doing a different ‘tree pose’ by dismantling my Christmas tree and reorganizing the shed to accomodate my Christmas decorations since I finally got storage bins to make my life easier. Wrestling with the heavy sections of the tree and schlepping boxes and tubs was definitely a workout! π
But Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were great WiiFit days – I have lost yet another 3 pounds! That only leaves *cough*choke*crackle* to go! Isn’t that great?! π I’m having a blast trying to outdo myself on the games and the workouts…I have, however, decided that working out in jeans isn’t really helping me any when it comes to the dreaded Yoga poses… I finally broke down yesterday and bought myself a cool pair of Yoga pants…I’m guessing that when I tackle those Yoga poses later today that they’re going to make all the difference in the world – I should be able to muster through ALL the poses with no trouble, right? You know, like having actual Yoga pants will weave some sort of magic spell and my balance will be perfection in spite of the sloped floors! (giggle!) Yeah, we’ll see how that goes! π
For those hoping to see more funny pictures of my glass of wine ‘working out’ on the WiiFit, my wine has been absent this week….next week we’ll get it together! π I can’t believe that I haven’t had a glass of wine all week – I know, shocking, isn’t it? Not that I didn’t want any, and not that I’m cutting it out of my will, but I just have been flying through the hectic week and haven’t had a moment to really sit and relax…so I think I’m going to make it a point to make time to relax tonight and enjoy a bottle glass of wine this evening. Care to join me? π
So back to the WiiFit Fun – I’m still finding the Soccer Ball challenge an annoying one (not as annoying as Yoga…*snicker!*). I swear the person throwing the soccer balls (and shoes, and bear heads) at Mii is pretty much cackling as they slam odd objects into my head! One of these days I’m going to get a perfect score, then I’ll be the one cackling! π I’m still not the Hula Hoop Queen yet, but I’m working on it! π I’ve got the balance tables down like a pro (which tells me my ‘balance’ is fine, just my mental state is off when it comes to Yoga…), and I’m not falling off the highwire as much as I used to… π
I’m certainly enjoying this adventure with all the other WiiFit Mommies – if you have a WiiFit and want to join in the fun, please do! You won’t be sorry…it’s great to have such a fun support group (which reminds me – I really need to hang out at the WiiFit Mommies Forum more often…I haven’t been there in quite a while, sorry!) Oh, and don’t forget – February 13th (yes, Friday the Thirteenth) the WiiFit Mommies are having another Twitter Party – the last one was crazy fun, so don’t forget to mark your calendars and join in on the next one!
Until next week – have fun on your WiiFit workouts and don’t forget to sign Mr. Linky with your weekly WiiFit adventure posts! π
you know what’s ironic? just as i was getting totally inspired to exercise – ive decided im not overfed, im under exercised – i got my tooth pulled and the oral surgeon said to take it easy for 2-3 days.s now im all inspired… and im soooo jealous!!!!!s thanks for making me even more resolved!!!!!!s
Congratulations!!! That’s really great!
Hey, got some cool awards for you over at my blog π
You’re doing great, week 3! I’m actually on week 1 of serious use of the Wii Fit. I like the yoga, but that tree pose is almost impossible for me! I refuse to hold onto anything because I want to do it myself. You should see me trying to hold my balance. Good entertainmant value for the kids! Have a glass of wine for me tonight!
Good for you! I need to get one so I can excersize too!
lol…the soccer people are crazy…I suck at it and am always getting hit with the shoes!s
I hate the penguin one and the step one but I rock the soccer one.s Absolutely rock it!s Once something hits me in the head, I lose my rythm but when I’m in the zone I’m unstoppable.s Thanks for the shout out, we’re releasing the Twitter party info soon!s YAY!
LOL Annie!s Happy to help you get inspired and more resolved! π s I like that concept – under exercised, not over-fed! π s That’s pretty much where I was at, too…s
s
Thanks so much for stopping by! π
Cool, Firefly!s Thanks so much! π
Thanks, Elle!s Yeah, that Tree Pose and I are not on friendly terms…but it’s nice to be able to be the entertainment factor for the peanut gallery, isn’t it? π s I’ll have a toast to you and your impossible Tree Pose tonight with my wine! π s Thanks so much for stopping by! π
Oh, you’d love it, Mimi! I’ve tried to follow workout DVD’s and such, but feel like a total klutz…with the WiiFit I don’t feel like a total klutz (most of the time…well, except when I fail miserably at the Yoga poses…but then I just move on to something else I can do…heh, heh!)
s
Thanks so much for stopping by! π
Those soccer people ARE crazy – what’s really funny is when it happens to be my Princess Nagger’s Mii throwing stuff at me – she gets a huge kick out of it when that happens! LOL!!s I try to avoid those shoes, but keep getting hit – I think I get distracted by the fact they’re throwing CLEATS at my head! LOL!!!s Thanks so much for stopping by, Colleen! π
Oh, that’s too funny!s You hate the ones I like, and I hate the one you rock at! LOL!!s You’re right, though – when I get hit in the head, I lose my rythm and it’s all down hill from there…LOL!!s Oh, cool, Twitter Party info soon!s I’ll be sure to link it when it comes out! π s Thanks so much for stopping by, Julie! π
I have a wii fit and love it but i need to do it more
You’ll get there…it can become quite addictive! π s Thanks so much for stopping by, Kristen! π
We just got the Wii for Christmas so haven’t gotten the WiiFit yet. But I played it at my inlaws awhile ago and totally dug it.s I *will* have one in the, hopefully, near future.s I really didn’t like the soccer balls flying at my head, though. LOLs Or the shoes and bears, etc. π
3 pounds is great!
s
HAHA I can’t do the soccer one.s It makes me so unbelievably dizzy trying to bob back and forth.s My girls rock at it though.s I just unlocked the bubble one and its driving me nuts.s I’m determined to make it to the end of it at some point this year.
I sure hope I can get one of those WiiFits at some point. By that time, everyone will be fit and in shape and done with it. I’ll be on my own…lol
Oh you are good–I’ve been working on the elliptical machine–and to date I’ve lost… well… I haven’t lost anything–but I haven’t gained!s I’d totally ditch the jeans, too–I love yoga–but with comfy clothing–for sure!s As always–fun to read–your personality shines when you write!
That’s great you got to try out the WiiFit at your inlaws – the soccer ball challenge is annoying, isn’t it? π s Especially when those shoes and bear heads start flying – my Little Princess laughs hysterically when I keep getting smacked in the head with them…as long as she’s entertained, who am I to complain? (snicker!)s Thanks so much for stopping by, Megan! π
Thanks, Samantha! π s Yes, the soccer one definitely makes you dizzy! The better you do at head butting the soccer balls, the faster she starts throwing them at you – and then she whips out those shoes and bear heads faster and lots more of them…s That’s cool that your girls rock at it, though, because then they can keep you trying hard to get it! π s You’ll master the bubble one before you know it – it seems harder than it actually is! π s Thanks so much for stopping by! π
I hope you can get one soon, Elizabeth!s But not to worry, you won’t be on your own, it’s going to be quite some time before I’m done getting rid of my 6-year old ‘baby fat’…(snicker!)s I’m sure there will be plenty of us still trudging along when you get yours – and I suspect once you do, you’ll scream past me in no time! π s Thanks so much for stopping by! π
Thanks, Nicole!s Good job on not gaining anything – from what I understand of the elliptical machines, you’re toning and firming up your muscles…and muscles weigh more than fat, so not losing any weight right away isn’t alarming – you’re trading fat for muscle! π s And I bet you feel great, don’t you? π s Yeah, ditching the jeans was a great idea – I had more fun with all the modes of the WiiFit yesterday…well, still not getting the Yoga poses, but I’m determined to get there SOMEday! π s Thank you so much for the compliment – you’re making me blush! π s Thanks so much for stopping by – you always make my day! π
Seriously..I kind of like the idea of working the yoga poses while drinking a glass of wine.s I know that isn’t exactly what you were talking about…but that’s where I took it. LOL
s
I frankly have paid very little attention to the yoga and the strength exercises.s I need to buck up and start working on them too.s *sigh*
s
Keep up the good work!
s
I think you might have something there, Jenn! π s After all, Yoga is supposed to relax you…wine definitely relaxes you…maybe that’s the trick to getting those poses down, it’s worth a shot…um, a glass! π s LOL!!s Thanks so much for stopping by! π
Sorry I’m late!s
s
“having actual Yoga pants will weave some sort of magic spell and my balance will be perfection in spite of the sloped floors!”
s
You’re gonna use the sloped floors as an excuse forever, aren’t you?s lols I FEEL like I have sloped floors sometimes!s Maybe I do… should I do the wine glass trick?s Hmmmmmm, so tempted.
s
Anyway, yoga pants.s I usually wear shorts, lol.s But I will get yoga pants one of these days.s Let me know if it helps!s π
s
All of this is sos much fun!s Great post, by the way – I totally enjoyed it!s π
Never too late, Lindsey! π
s
So far I haven’t felt any magic by wearing my new cool Yoga pants…but then again, the Princess Nagger is home from school until Thursday, so the peanut gallery is a bit of a distraction!s π s You bet I’ll be using the sloped floors as an excuse forever! BWAHAHAHAHA!s I imagine I’d be a bit ‘sloped’, too, if I were 192 years old! (snicker!)s Sure!! Do the ‘wine glass trick – I’d love to see if you have any sloped-ness to your floors…it does happen, houses settle all the time! π s And you know, Yoga relaxes you, wine relaxes you – so it’s all relative, right? π
s
I thought about just wearing shorts – but since our old house is drafty, it was too cold…the sloped floors are really cold, too – one of these days I’l going to buy an nice area rug to help deter some of the coldness in the winter! π
s
Thanks so much for your kind words, and thanks a bunch for stopping by! π
