Counting My Blessings

During all the hectic-ness that this time of year brings , it’s always good to pause and give thanks for everything and everyone in our lives. I was going around reading the blogs I to keep up on, and came across a call for inspiration over at Tara’s blog, Kidz. I immediately thought of one of my favorite songs, In My Daughter’s Eyes by Martina McBride. That song basically speaks for me to my darling daughter. I am thankful to have been blessed with a true Miracle Girl, and am thankful for having her in my life. This time of year in particular is so much fun, as I get to enjoy the special Magic of Christmas through her eyes. Here’s a music video of singing my favorite song:

In My Daughter’s Eyes lyrics

In my daughter’s eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter’s eyes

In my daughter’s eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter’s eyes

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It’s hangin’ on when your heart
has had enough
It’s giving more when you feel like giving up
I’ve seen the light
It’s in my daugter’s eyes

In my daughter’s eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she’ll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I’m gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I’ll be there
In my daughter’s eyes

My Little Princess at 8 months old…seems like so long ago! πŸ™‚

About Stacy (the Random Cool Chick)

After 20+ years in the Corporate World and years of infertility, Princess Nagger made her miraculous appearance and I chose to become a SAHM and WAHM - I love every minute of it. We added Little Dude through adoption, adding a whole new dimension to our family. We have an eclectic mix of pets: dogs, cats, birds and fish. I love to cook and try new techniques to turn ordinary into extraordinary. Crafty by nature, I take on a lot of unique projects and enjoy seeing the end result. My favorite, of course, is making my own wine out of fruits and grapes. Experiments with water currently underway. I blog about the joys of parenting, family, friends, life, love and anything else that strikes my fancy. I do enjoy doing reviews and giveaways for products I use, believe in and can stand behind.
