Last night when I was tucking her into bed, she said (with a dramatic sigh):
“I think I will need breakfast in bed.”
Me: “Oh, really? Why do you think that?”
Savannah: “Because I’m sick, and when you’re sick you have to stay in bed and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in bed.”
Me: “Oh, you poor thing! Does that mean you’ll have to miss school tomorrow?”
Savannah (bolting upright and shaking her head emphatically): “Oh, NO no no, I can’t miss school, I think I will feel better in the morning.”
Me: “I guess that means you won’t ‘need’ breakfast in bed then, hmmm?”
Savannah: “Well, maybe after I have breakfast in bed I will feel better. This cold is only a 24 hour bug, so I will feel fine in 24 hours.”
Me: “But 24 hours from now is bedtime again – are you sure you don’t think you need to stay home from school?”
Savannah: “Actually… I think I feel better already. I guess I won’t need breakfast in bed tomorrow. But I would like pancakes with maple syrup.”
LOL, what a precious child! She is a girl after my own heart…hope her cold is better!
She is precious! I love the fact that even when she has a cold it doesn’t seem to slow her down – though it does make her a tad bit more cuddly, which I like! π Thanks for the well wishes! π
Hi Stacy.
Thanks for the email!
I have posted your precious picture.
FYI- they make airborne for kids. They use to have a grape one but, I cannot find it any more. You may want to check it out. Airborne helps prevent or the lessen the effects of a cold.
See you around!
She is so cool, a real girly girl love it π
Hope she feels better soon!

You can’t blame a girl for trying!
LOL She is really funny. I wounder if I could get away with something like that with my husband π
Thanks, Harriet!!
I looked all over for Airborne for kids, and came up empty handed. Great idea, though, now that she’s in school she’s going to be catching more colds, I’m sure! I’ll have to keep looking… π
She is definitely a girly girl! LOL! Tonight she was racing through the house to make sure she didn’t get chased by imaginary (friendly) ‘monsters’…wore me out! π So I don’t think this is a full-blown cold, it doesn’t seem to be affecting her all that much which is a good thing! π
Awww! You have a Savanna(h), too! Great name! π Kids do say the darndest things! Love having conversations with my Little Princess – she can get very creative, her mind is always working! π
She is a cutie – I couldn’t tell, but I do believe she was batting her eyelashes when she was talking about breakfast in bed… π Thanks for the well wishes! π
I could not agree with you more! π Certainly can’t blame her for trying…LOL!
I was thinking the same thing! Now that would be an event! O:-)
Hehe. It’s all about the negotiations, right?? If only some of mine ended up with me getting pancakes and maple syrup.

Negotiating is a talent…which my Little Princess certainly has a talent for! π I agree, if only it’d work in our favor! LOL!
