Well, we’ve made it to October, people! Where is that pause button? Only 12-ish weeks until Christmas! I still need to implement the organization I realized I needed last year when I found myself feeling buried in my ‘to-do’ list instead of getting to enjoy the festive season.

The purge is continuing – we didn’t get to fill the dumpster full for last week’s empty, but we’ve managed to fill it up more for this week’s pickup. I called to extend another week, so we’ll have one more week to do more purging. Feels like we haven’t made a dent, so come spring we’ll do another month of dumpster fun when the weather will (hopefully) be more cooperative.

I had blocked some time on my work calendar yesterday to do some schlepping out to the dumpster, but Mother Nature had other plans, as noted by the steady downpour All. Day. Long. Of course today the sun is shining brightly, but I have work to do! And this weekend I’m actually getting away for a girl’s weekend that I’ve been looking forward to for months.

I’m not gonna lie, I did have the thought to cancel my participation for the girl’s weekend and stay home to do more purging, but the hubby reminded me that I’ve been working hard and deserve a break. So I’ll be off to have some fun this weekend while he and the nerd child fill up the dumpster themselves…heh!

Since there are only 12 weeks until Christmas (egads)! I’m of course keeping this countdown active, either it will be helpful or annoying – or annoyingly helpful!
